My Past Wednesday Walk | July 07, 2021 - A Quick Visit to my Cousin at the River

It has been a while since I've shared my Wednesday walk though it is now late I just want to share this with all of you here to get inspired and thankful to God for He is always here for us despite the pandemic we still experience.

I will be going to share with you all a quick visit to my cousin at the river who did his source of income, hauling of sands and gravel.

At around 9:00 in the morning, I was about to visit my little farm but instead of going to my little farm, I have decided to go to the river without knowing that my cousin is there hauling some sands and gravel for him to earn some money to buy his food and others.

From afar, I have seen him already doing his work, and seems like he had haul lots of sands and gravel yet which good for him. While watching him, it is very inspiring knowing that despite the pandemic we have right now, as Filipino, we always find ways for us to earn our living.

As I went near to him, I have seen the hardship of what they do here but I have seen in his eyes the determination and hard work, and that is a good attitude for him, for if he will not do anything, according to him he doesn't have any source of income knowing that he didn't finish his schooling, even grade school.

Aside from my cousin, there are also other people doing the same as him but the only person who caught up my eye is this girl next to my cousin who is with her child while hauling sands and gravel. Seeing her reminds me of what really is a mother's love for her children, a mother will do whatever it is just to find ways to give food to her family. I have asked her why she did this and where is her husband. She just said that her husband is on his work as a construction worker and she just also did this to help her husband. This really touched my heart and I salute her as a mother and a wife.

This two-person here that I have met, my cousin and a mother is just an example of what is a true life here in the province most especially those people whose ways of living are simple and full of hardship but I have seen in their life that they strive hard for their family, a very inspiring person that everyone must have to follow.

We must always thank God whatever we have and thank God even in hard times and good times.
