Nuestra Carrera de Relevos con Hive Run [ESP-ENG]

Mi primera carrera de relevo y también la primera para el equipo de @hiverun. Hoy fue una jornada espectacular con muchas emociones.

Llegamos bien temprano para prepararnos. Primera vez que corro dentro de la Base Aérea de La Carlota. Esta carrera era bastante íntima por decirlo de algún modo. Muy pocas personas en comparación con otras carreras. Seguro debido a que para correr debes tener a otras tres personas. El costo fue un poco alto para lo que dieron. Para tener la camisa, debías pagar aparte.

Fuimos con nuestra camisa naranja de Hive Run. Además nos acompañó @enmy con la camisa que usamos en la CAF. También vino @crily.love para apoyar con la fotografía mientras era el turno de Manaure.

Corrí con todo. Creo que rompí mi record en 5k, aunque al final vi que no bajé de 25 minutos, aunque el Strava me dijo 24:50. Creo que hay diferencias en las distancias, ya que la carrera era 5,6K.

Justo después de entregar el testigo a Vandres, me dieron ganas de vomitar. Hice un remate bestial. Corrí a toda velocidad y venía con un dolor en el costado, por mala respiración. Me descontrolé al comenzar tan rápido; algo que no estoy acostumbrado ya que siempre comienzo de menos a más. Debido a que tengo un tiempo respirando solo por nariz, no podía debido al esfuerzo y necesitaba expulsar por la boca. En ese cambio de nariz a boca, me descontrolé el ritmo de la respiración, lo que hizo que en el kilómetro tres me doliera mucho y debí bajar la velocidad para estabilizar la respiración.

Esa velocidad por encima de 5, la tuve que mantener hasta casi el final, donde en la última recta, habré hecho un ritmo de 3 o más rápido. Ese esfuerzo con ese dolor me afecto. De hecho mientras escribo el post, siento todavía una molestia en la zona.

My first relay race and also the first for the @hiverun team. Today was a spectacular day with lots of emotions.

We arrived very early to get ready. First time running inside La Carlota Air Base. This race was quite intimate to say the least. Very few people compared to other races. I'm sure due to the fact that to run you must have three other people. The cost was a little high for what they gave. To have the shirt, you had to pay extra.

We went with our orange Hive Run shirt. We were also joined by @enmy with the shirt we wore to the CAF. Also @crily.love came to support with photography while it was Manaure's turn.

I ran with everything. I think I broke my 5k record, although at the end I saw that I didn't go under 25 minutes, even though Strava told me 24:50. I think there are differences in the distances, as the race was 5.6k.

Right after I handed the baton to Vandres, I felt like throwing up. I did a beastly finish. I ran at full speed and was coming in with a pain in my side from bad breathing. I got out of control when I started so fast; something I'm not used to since I always start from less to more. Because I have been breathing only through my nose for a while, I could not due to the effort and I needed to expel through my mouth. In that change from nose to mouth, I got out of control the rhythm of breathing, which made me hurt a lot at kilometer three and I had to slow down to stabilize my breathing.

That speed above 5, I had to keep it until almost the end, where in the last straight, I must have done a pace of 3 or faster. That effort with that pain affected me. In fact, as I write this post, I still feel a discomfort in the area.

Llegamos de novenos en nuestra categoría de, tres hombres y una mujer. Parece que el año que viene se conformará un equipo de 100% mujeres, ya que tienen oportunidad de podio. Esperemos ver a @enmy @erilej @crily.love y una cuarte que se sume.

We came in 9th in our category of, three men and one woman. Looks like next year will be a 100% women's team, as they have a chance at the podium. Let's hope to see @enmy @erilej @crily.love and a foursome join in.
