Mi primera participación en el Caracas Rock 2025.

Saludos amigos
ENGLISH VERSION
Greetings friends
And I fell short of my expectations for my participation in this race; everything exceeded my expectations, from the day I picked up the kit to the day of the race. After a sleepless night due to anxiety about the race, I got up and we got ready to go to the race start location. We left even earlier than planned to park the car in a safe place. When we arrived at the meeting point, they were already finishing setting everything up, and there were already many runners in the area. We left my daughter and my cousin at the finish line, and my husband and I went to meet up with the rest of the team. While we waited, we saw rivers and rivers of people passing by, and it was already getting close to the start time, so we went to our corrals. We weren't able to meet up with the rest of the team at the start. My husband went to his pen and I stayed in mine, where I met a friend from my town, and we warmed up for a few minutes. When I looked back at the pen next to mine, I saw a river of people that had no end. It was quite a crowd. I had never been in a race like this with so many people before. It was truly a wonderful experience.
The weather was spectacular that day, everything was ideal, a magnificent start, it was promising. I felt extremely grateful to be there, stepping on that asphalt at that precise moment. The race started, and I activated my Strava to control my pace and began to enjoy this wonderful route, which I loved in every way: the music, the people, the sponsors, everyone cheering us on. I reached kilometre 5, and when I heard Strava say 27 minutes, I told myself I was doing well. In my head, I just told myself to keep up the pace, but when I reached kilometre 8, I collapsed and became unwell. Thank God, the civil protection team was there nearby, and they attended to me immediately, taking my vital signs. They transferred me on a stretcher to the ambulance, and there I recovered for a few minutes. Thank God I didn't lose consciousness, but I was very pale. They took my vital signs again, and I was more stable and my colour returned. I drank some electrolyte water and ate a sweet, and I felt better. I walked to the finish line, and on the way I found my husband, my daughter and my cousin, who were worried and had come to look for me.
Grateful for the attention of civil protection and that everything turned out well, I let myself be carried away by my emotions, and well, there you have the results. Unfortunately, we couldn't meet up with the team because there were so many people, and because of my short stature, I felt a bit overwhelmed among so many people, and besides, we had to return home.We continue to move forward and gain experience to mature more and continue to enjoy each race to the fullest. Without a doubt, Caracas Rock will remain on my list of planned races for the year, and the best part is that it will be with the HIVERUN team.
