Maracanã 70 years: 3 unforgettable matches for me
Tomorrow (16) will be a very special day for Brazilian football and especially for Maracanã, as the stadium will be 70 years old. Many stories can be told by the largest football stage in the country. Known worldwide, Maraca as it is called was the scene of several glories, especially for the teams in Rio de Janeiro where they call home the stadium.
70 years is not for everyone is it? So I thought about the countless games that I watched on television watching my heart team and the Brazilian team and realized that there are several unforgettable moments. So I will list 5 games that are eternal for me.
Pet's goal at 45 in the second half
Imagine a scenario where your team would need to have two goals difference to take the state championship title and the score was 2 to 1 favor, so far so good, but it was already at the end of the match. That game was unforgettable for me because Petkovic did something that would be practically impossible. A goal at 43 from the second half and honestly ... what a goal! That goal gave Flamengo the Carioca's third championship of 2001.
2009 Brazilian Champion
At the time, I was working but where I was I could watch the game that defended the national title for Flamengo. It was a long time since we had an expressive title and it came at a good time in a game that turned the score and the goal of defender Ronaldo Angelim with his head was remarkable because it sealed our sixth championship.
Massacre
This match is the most recent on this list and took place last year in the dispute for the Libertadores de América. In the first game Flamengo played against Grêmio that at the time the media still said, as did coach Renato Gaúcho, that Grêmio had "the best football in the country". The Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus demonstrated at every game that everyone was wrong and Mister brought back Brazilian football that we hadn't seen for a long time.
The first game was a draw, although Flamengo had an incredible 3 goals unfairly canceled, the return game was at Maracanã crowded and that game showed all unbelievers that Flamengo today has the best football in the country. Gabigol destroyed the Gremista defense and the fifth goal scored by defender Rodrigo Caio, shows the apathetic face of the Grêmio coach. As if he wouldn't be believing what he was seeing. What a memorable game!
Well, I could do it here in an infinite list, but I only limited it to 3. Of course there are other matches from other teams and the National Team, but I wanted to honor my heart team which is Flamengo, because the team's joining with Maracanã is something magical and surreal.
Amanhã (16) será um dia muito especial para o futebol brasileiro e em especial para o Maracanã, pois o estádio fará 70 anos. Muitas histórias podem ser contadas pelo maior palco de futebol do país. Conhecido mundialmente, o Maraca como é bastante chamado foi palco de diversas glórias, principalmente para os times do Rio de Janeiro onde chamam de casa o estádio.
70 anos não é para qualquer um não é mesmo? Então pensei nos inúmeros jogos que acompanhei na televisão vendo meu time do coração e a Seleção Brasileira e percebi que são vários momentos insquecíveis. Então irei listar 5 jogos que são eternos para mim.
Gol do Pet aos 45 do segundo tempo
Imaginem um cenário onde seu time precisaria ter dois gols de diferença para levar o título do campeonato estadual e que o placar estava 2 a 1 favor, até aí tudo bem, mas já estava no fim da partida. Esse jogo foi inesquecível para mim porque Petkovic fez algo que seria praticamente impossível. Um gol aos 43 do segundo tempo de falta e sinceramente... que golaço! Esse gol deu ao Flamengo o Tricampeonato do Carioca de 2001.
Campeão Brasileiro de 2009
Na época, estava trabalhando mas onde eu estava conseguia assitir o jogo que defeniu o título nacional para o Flamengo. Fazia muito tempo que não tínhamos mais um título expressivo e veio em boa hora em um jogo que viramos o placar e o gol do zagueiro Ronaldo Angelim de cabeça foi marcante pois selou o nosso hexacampeonato.

Essa partida é a mais recente desta lista e aconteceu ano passado na disputa da Libertadores da América. No jogo de ida o Flamengo jogou contra o Grêmio que na época a mídia ainda dizia assim como o técnico Renato Gaúcho que o Grêmio tinha "o melhor futebol do país". O técnico português Jorge Jesus demosntrava a cada partida que todos estavam errado e o Mister trouxe de volta o futebol brasileiro que há muito tempo não víamos.
A partida de ida ficou no empate, apesar do Flamengo ter tido incríveis 3 gols anulados injustamente, o jogo de volta foi no Maracanã lotado e esse jogo mostrou a todos os incrédulos que o Flamengo hoje possui o melhor futebol do país. Gabigol destruiu a defesa gremista e o quinto gol marcado pelo zagueiro Rodrigo Caio, mostra a cara apática do treinador do Grêmio. Como se ele não estaria acreditando no que estava vendo. Que jogo memorável!
Bem, poderia fazer aqui numa lista infinita, mas limitei apenas com 3. Claro que existem outras partidas de outros times e Seleção, mas quis homenagear meu time do coração que é o Flamengo, pois a junção do time com o Maracanã é algo mágico e surreal.
