Skating and Why it is an Amazing Recreational Activity…

When it comes to recreational activities, skating is up there in the list. Similar to Bicycle riding or cycling, Skating is also a very fun to do. I like skaters a lot and I like the art and skills that go into skating. Skating has always been one of my favorite recreational activity or sports right from childhood days. I didn’t have the opportunity to be around where I could learn how to skate or be around friends that know how to skate, so it was literally impossible to learn skating as at that time. i just used to admire those who skate and for me, it was just basically fantasies and wishes. Learning how to ride a bicycle was a great alternative as it meant that I could have some fun time riding my bicycle with other bicycle riders as well. Even though riding a bicycle doesn’t look as cool as skating on a skateboard, it is fun is pretty the same especially when riding with friends.

Even though I don’t really know how to skate, it is still one of my favorite outdoor recreational activity and I enjoy going out to watch other skaters do their thing and flaunt their skating skills which has always been a huge appeal to me. Like every other outdoor recreational activities or sports, skating is a very good form of exercise and way to keep fit as well… skating is a great way to keep your physical activity up. Skating can help improve mental well-being… due to the amount of skills, practice and timing that goes into skating, it has a lot of benefits to the mental side as well. Since skating involves the use of legs, it is great for leg muscles and also can help improve balance because you need to have great balance in order to skate in the first place… the more yoy skate and practice, the better you improve your balance.

Also, since it involves physical exertion and use of energy, it can be a great way to lose weight for some people… Great for cardio, and as always, quality exercise goes a long way to improve fitness and immune system. Skating is not one of those sports that anyone can do as it requires a lot of practice and skills to do, however, those who have learnt and mastered the art of skating are having fun and at the same time enjoying the benefits that comes with it when it comes to exercising and keeping fit. For me, alongside cycling, skating is also one of my favorite recreational activity, it is so much fun. There is nothing as fun as going out with a few friends on a little skating ride, the experience is super awesome.
