So do grabbing and locking work for self defense in real life. Please keep reading to find out more about it.

You know that someone can attack you at any moment. You are able to fight and take the attacker down. But you are in a situation where you do not like to do that.

For example, you are in the office, and somehow, some people from outside get into the office and make trouble. You can call the security and let them take care of the situation. You can also call the police and let them handles this.

If you are not an office, you cannot call the security or if you call the police, the attacker will attack you and get out of there before the police comes. You can grab the attacker and lock him so that he will not be in a position to attack you.

Grabbing and locking works for self defense in real life. You might find the Aikido technique handy in this situation. You can also grab the attacker and throw him on the ground. You can use Judo and it will do the job for you.

Whether some martial arts are useful or useless, it depends on the situation and what you want to do with it. If you have no other options to strike the attack in order to protect yourself, you have to strike. Besides learning grabbing and locking techniques, you should also learn how to strike – punch, kick, palm strike, elbow strike, knee charge, and block the strike.

If you practice Tai Chi, you can use Tai Chi moves to defend yourself. You can use your Tai Chi to redirect the attacker’s energy and force in another direction or use it against him. You can push and throw him using Tai Chi. Only throwing the attacker might not make that damage, but if you throw the attacker against something hard like a wall, it can make some serious damage.

If you know how to use specific moves based on the situation, you will find a lot of things useful in a fight for self defense. It is up to you how to use it to protect yourself. So what do you think about that? Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.

Kung Fu is a martial art. And Tai Chi is also a martial art that people practice for getting health benefits and self defense.
