DENMARK DESTROY CZECH REPUBLIC IN A DECISIVE 2-1 VICTORY TO QUALIFY FOR SEMI-FINAL

Having held a 1-0 lead at half-time in their last three outings, Denmark have given themselves a reputation for being a first-half side. Kasper Hjulmand’s men asserted their authority from the off, as Thomas Delaney had the freedom of Baku to head home from Jens Stryger Larsen’s pinpoint corner. Czech Republic’s response to the goal was a good one, and they almost dragged themselves back into contention, as Tomáš Holeš forced Kasper Schmeichel to make amends for the error which gifted the Czech’s the initiative.

Denmark continued to probe on the counter-attack, with Tomáš Vaclík equal to Mikkel Damsgaard’s strike just before the break. That probing eventually bore its fruits, as Joakim Mæhle’s teasing ball with the outside of his right foot was stroked home by an unmarked Kasper Dolberg to double the Dane’s lead.

In stark contrast to the first half, Czech Republic flew out of the traps and caught Denmark cold. Jaroslav Šilhavý introduced Michael Krmenčík and it took the PAOK man all of 29 seconds to stamp his authority, as his 25-yard strike stung the palms of Schmeichel. Patrik Schick was on the end of Vladimír Coufal’s cross to steer home and give the Czech’s a lifeline.

Yussuf Poulsen and Mæhle came close to wrapping the game up for Denmark but a third wasn’t needed as the Czechs failed to break down a strong Danish rearguard for a second time. The result sets up a third-ever semi-final for Denmark on Wednesday at Wembley.

Yes they have really perform well. They really shows that they can absorb pressure from opponet with the way they played CzechRepublic. I wish they can continue in the same energetic way when they meet England because England won't take it easy with them.
Thanks for your reply

Definitely they can,but nevertheless it is going to be a very tough one to say against the on for Southgate men and I don't want to write them off at all,but it won't be an easy one for them when they play against England, but kudos to them last night, they did their job and keep Bayern Leverkusen ace Patrik Schick in their arms for most of the encounter, they really deserve to be here and they have been very organized since they get to the round of 16,let see.maybe that van go all the way to the final

Sad the Czech run has to come to an end but it's what it is. Congratulations Denmark for putting up a better performance and get the much needed result. The semi final clash against England would be a good one to see
