POLAND PILE PRESSURE ON SPAIN WITH RESOLUTE PERFORMANCE
Spain's chances of progressing from group E are perilously balanced, as Poland gain a vital point in their own quest for Eurpoean glory.
I'm last weeks goalless draw against sweeten, Spain amassed a record breaking 419 passes in the first half. The fame seemingly bore the same hallmarks of a Spanish side lacking a cut edge. But in the 26th minute Morata smartly turned in an effort from six yards out after some tidy work by Gérard Moreno.
Polish would have got a goal in the 33rd minute after Karol Swiderski's fierce strike rattle the post with Robert Lewandoski unable to make the most of the rebound. Then, seconds before the end of first half Moreno came close, firing his effort wide the post after some fantastic build up play by Jordi Alba.
Polish started the second half strongly and were rewarded a goal after Kamil jowiak's cross found Lewandowski who fired the header home. Just some moment later Spanish were awarded a penalty which Moreno spot kick cannoned off the post with Morata inexplicably slicing to ensure rebound wide. Spain continue to dominate the ball but could not get the desired second goal.
Spain out their self in a very difficult situation after falling to grab maximum points. Definitely great result from Poland. Should be expecting one hell of a contest in the last group games as all teams will be fighting to save their lives
Poland did there best in the game against Spain in putting so much pressure on Spain but Spain holds their ground in the game to End it in a draw.
