We have seen the great players who played the round leather game and made names for themselves. Players like Zico, Giuseppe Meazza, Bobby Charlton, Gerd Muller, Franco Baresi, Marco van Basten, George Franz Beckenbauer, Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini, Pele, Maradona, Roberto baggio, Romario, Roger Miller, Zidane, David beckham, del peiro, Eric Cantona,kaka,Ronaldo Nazário, Ronaldinho, xavi, Iniesta to mention a few. These set of players did us proud in their peak days. They were world best players at different times where some took the laurel for two to three times consecutively.
There emerge two world class players who stormed the game in a dimension we never expected. Both rose to stardom almost at the same period and they have refused to step down from shining.
This footballers are well known to us all.

These guys have been fantastic playing for their club sides, winning cups, set records, breaking it and setting another.
In the history of football, we haven't seen anything like what these guys represent. Having two GOAT dominating the world for close to 15 years. They have been consistent back to back. I guess they have been an encouragement for each other
Both players did something that made me think that these guy are twin from different countries and I will like us to take a look at.
Portugal has been struggling to win an European trophy with different great players but finally that happened under the captaincy of Ronaldo on the 10th July 2016.
Messi after failing three times at the Copa America finals, he finally delivered with a victory over Brazil on the 10th July 2021.
Will you call the 10th July a coincidence or a planned day by the two to show the world the connectivity between them
They are just unique and I do not think we are going to see anything like this soon after they retire.
Who will emerge the winner of the Ballon d'or 2021 at the gala night come December.
Will Ronaldo make it the sixth to equal messi?

I don't judge and draw a conclusion that one is better than another all i know is that both players are excellent and are capable of destroying any team.

that is through but thank God messi won the copa america which as became a stain on his career before he won it, because all this Ronaldo fans believe Ronaldo is better than messi because he did not win titles with another team except Barcelona even for his country and meanwhile he won the world cup best player in 2014 which Ronaldo never won and lost in final he played in 4 copa America finals and lost but that doesn't mean he isn't the best in the world , but Glory be to God he won and now we can boldly say messi is the greatest player of all time

It's amazing to witness the era of this two football great. They have both been phenomenal and amazing to watch. They bring a lot to the game of soccer.
Having dominated for the football stage for a decade and an half, this two don't seem like stopping anytime soon as they are still hungry for more success.
They are also giving the young generation of Erling haaland and Kylian Mbappe a run for their money. Those two will have lot to do if they intend to shatter the record set by this legends.
I often see people try to compare between this two on who is the better player, which isn't supposed to be so. I find it annoying as instead of that people should be entertained by watch they are privileged to witness. This legends are tales to tell to the younger generation unborn.
For this year ballon d'or, I believe it's Lionel Messi year after clinching the Copa America with Argentina. There's is no argument on this. Even as a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, I believe the Argentine deserves it more than anyone for his performance in the just concluded Copa America.
Wow,this is one of the greatest debate in the world of football so far,even though I didn't really witness the days of Pele and the likes,but I vividly witness the days of Ronaldinho of and little of kaka too,but those two players didn't dominant the world of football like this two.
Arguably the two players to me are different set of people off and in the Field of play,which as also makes me to see and believe that they play different roles on that field and this at one point actually don't get me involved when it comes to debating about who is the best and not.

Messi to me too is just to sweet to watch,I remember Arsene Wenger of Arsenal then saying it is always good to see the Barcelona man who rise up from the catalunya academy to a World class player,the Argentina who as recently be regarded as the best in the world as contributed alot to the Barcelona team .
Arguably base on stat it is very clear that the six times balloond'or winner as really established himself in the world of football as a god.
