Hivechess Tournament Season 21 Round 2: @samostically in full berserk to the top!
Dear chess fans,
earlier today season 21 round 2 was played with a 3+2 Blitz arena. For the rules please refer to the announcement post. Again only 18 players, with an average rating of 1765, were participating. Welcome to Hivechess, @ezemhugo (MixzyRagnal) and @lailawrites (Ohieku) and welcome back, @spartano (humbertoortega)!
This time IM @maestroask (Odnoobraz_bcm) was at the end overtaken by @samostically who was in good shape today and mercilessly berserked his way to the first place (helped by a lucky pairing as well 😉). Third was @dhilan04 with a solid performance. Again @jaki01 was just outside the podium! Congratulations to All!

Of note, @justola1 switched tiers due to lower ranking and plays now in tournament 2.
In tournament 4 @jaki01 sneaked his way to the top position, maybe also due to the fact, that @tangibleay left (rage quit?) the tournament early! Similarily, in tournament 3 the lowest seeded @justfavour is now leading thanks to @maverieux000 and @rosmarly not showing up! It shows how important it is to participate consistently.

Ich bekenne mich schuldig. :-)
Allerdings habe ich diesmal ganz bewusst dem Berserk-Wahnsinn entsagt und folglich - trotz extrem später Stunde - seit langem mal wieder eine Reihe recht ansehnlicher Partien gespielt. Fast hätte ich das Turnier ungeschlagen beendet, wäre mir nicht in der vorletzten Runde @maestroask über den Weg gelaufen (den ich allerdings in der ersten Begegnung fast geschlagen hätte, das an sich sehr gute Spiel dann allerdings mal wieder in Zeitnot in typischer Manier zum Remis verhudelt habe - ich war schon immer eher ein Deep- als ein Fast-Thinker).
Thanks for allowing me participate. It will really a nice game and I will definitely try to be in the Top 5 next round at least.
Nah, i didn't rage quit, 8pm friday isn't favourable for me, most times i play in transit, just couldn't handle it last night, and congratulations @samostically ,thank God i no play you o, i for see me my name for game of the week as the loser😢😂

It was one of my worst tournaments - almost nothing was working and berserking did not help
