The Never Sobing Henry : A Sport Freewrite

The way he was sober, you would think he actually was. Eyes down, shoulder low in deep humility. But on the contrast, as team mates, we don't care.

Henry has been playing alone on the field, his greediness for a lone glory at all cost has cost us the first half of the game. The matter grew worse when the coach insist on having him in a strategic position on the field for the second half. A position we are so sure won't be of any use to us all.

The half time was over sooner. The game started, the sobering of Henry was over, what we are looking at on the field now is a young who is back on his vomit, full of pride for self, high self gratification, a larger than life lifestyle and character. The opponent made sure to punch this arrogant balloon by sending an attacker his way. He did no small damage by causing an injury to Henry.

As we looked on henry being stretched out the field, the reality was dawn on us all. First was the fact that our chance of winning the match is gone. Henry was a star player. Second was the injury Henry suffered, a dislocation that will cause months to recover.
