He was a freaking hero for the stache alone... Pretty amazing what some of these people can accomplish. It is also good that there was never a doping scandal. Sure maybe it was speculated, but nothing on the level of Armstrong. That just ended up being a trainwreck. Nice coverage of an amazing hero. Maybe we will get to seem some new records broken next summer.

the only controversy that I have ever heard about him is where someone accused him of product placement during a medal acceptance. When it was revealed that he wasn't paid and the shoes were really old the controversy ended.
