Rediscovering the DEC cryptocurrency transfer options within the Splinterlands

avatar
I am playing Splinterlands from its inception and I must confess that I am still discovering existing game features for quite some time. Maybe I have missed some announcements or just didn't pay attention, but giving more thought to it and exploring the options I found out that I could do some usual actions with a simply click rather than the complex path I was doing before. And I am talking about the in game transfer options.

There are several transfer options IN or OUT of the game and Splinterlands supports quite some major cryptocurrencies out there. Let's revise them a little bit and emphasize the ones that I consider most helpful when managing your DEC tokens.

  • Steem Engine Wallet - This is like a legacy transfer option considering that initially Splinterlands was running on Steem blockchain. Once that hardforked to Hive, soon Splinterlands realised that is time for them to move to it as it was in line with the values shared by the communities.
  • Hive Engine Wallet - This I think is the most used transfer method considering that Splinterlands running on Hive is just normal to be able to allow IN or OUT operations into Hive-Engine and from there transact for other second layer tokens or convert into Hive.
  • Tron Wallet - This is another transfer option which lets you move IN or OUT the DEC tokens and exchange them for TRON on trontrade.io.
  • Ethereum Wallet - This is one option made for the future, but I am not sure if there is still a marketplace trading DEC for ETH. I know about Uniswap DEC pool and this might be one way on moving the funds there, but I am not sure exactly. Will explore this in the future and is pretty great if we have the means to pegg DEC to Ethereum and trade that for it.
  • Player - This is the relevance transfer option that I have just discovered. As a have few accounts playing usually I transfer DEC between them when I want to buy more cards and level up. Until now I was withdrawing the funds to Hive-Engine, move them between accounts and than move them back into the game. An entire flow that I was doing until now which was eating some time.

With player to player transfer you don't need to get out of the Splinterlands ecosystem and you can do all such operations within. Even if you trade cards and pay with DEC you can simply do that in game and I think is a pretty good option to make the exchange. Saving time and doing things in an ecosystem is something that pays off in time and once I discovered it, bye bye Hive-Engine.

I don't when I will ever understand anything about this whole spinterlands game.
I have been seeing a few posts about it and someone even referred me to a.link to get started but I was still reluctant about it cause I am ignorant about the whole thing.
It also seems like a difficult task that will need time, skill, and commitment

Thanks for sharing! - @marianaemilia

Yes, there are many interesting options, and did you see that the game now also supports the LEO token? Good luck in battles!
