Multiple streams of income have become norms in the world of today, but a lot of people still pounder on what could give them an extra income aside from their job, hence, the creation of this post. We all want a little extra cash aside from the one we get from our daily 9 to 6 jobs, and that is not greed.

Most people result in digital marketing of products using their social medium and connect while others go big by starting a business. These side hustles are essential, have over-reliance on just one source of income is terrible due to the risk attached to the question ‘what if it stops paying?’.

Without wasting more time, below are three side hustle;

Freelancing: freelancing is a broad term, which means providing services. There is always going to be a skill that you are good at, and you could freelance it in your free time. Freelancing keeps you in control of your time, as you could decide to reject or accept your services to bidders. The best part of it all is that you get to do it in your spare time, and it needs little or no capital to begin with.

An Uber driver: this might be more one-sided as it’s not for everyone. You certainly must know how to drive, possess a driver’s license, and lots better if you have a car of your own. Being an uber driver means you are offering to commute people to their destination at any time, but the good thing is you can decide to reject/accept an offer.

Sportsbetting: this indeed remains the easiest and that's if you are not greedy. With sports betting, you could earn more than you imagine or lost more also. The secret is balancing your passion with the need for extra cash and you are good to go. With that said, sports betting remains the riskiest of all the options above, as it needs some little capital to start with also.

Yeah definitely need to have some side or additional income from somewhere. A lot of people still don't think about that and it's so against the norm but the question of "what will you do if that income goes" leaves you in a terrible position. Cryptocurrencies have provided one nice alternative, particularly with sites like HIVE And LEO etc that reward you something for your involvement in the platform.

Those other suggestions are good as well - free lancing is something I've considered but when I found out about these crypto blogging sites, I found a nice little place to grow a side income through the various different tokens and staking rewards. You could even add interest/savings on to that if you can all it "additional income" - although I guess you mean "active income" as those methods listed are more active sources.

Not to sure about becoming an uber driver and how economically viable that is as I know in the UK (South-East, near London), what you get from Uber isn't such a good payment but I may be wrong!

I have heard friends get some great success from Matched/Sports betting though and that is genuinely allowing them to pay rent and then some.

Thanks for sharing your ideas for additional income!

You opened my eye because someone can only get the income streams mentioned above from being active.

I agree that crypto platforms such as hive and Leo are also one additional way of making income, but I'm afraid I disagree with your assertion that it is one way of earning a passive income. I see them both as active income.

Also, Uber might not be profitable at all end, but I know that, on average, it's advantageous in most places.

@nickyhavey, thanks for reading, and I salute the challenge and contribution too

I mean that staking provides passive income as you get the 3% interest on HIVE for powering up. The active side comes from posting, commenting etc but once you have earned it, then you can stake if you wanted and get the staking rewards - that's what I meant 😁

Keep building up the income streams in any case, it all counts!
