In 10 Years, I Should be worth over $1 million on Hive's second layer

The creation of the second layer tokens was the best thing that could happen on the Hive blockchain and that helped to create room for the small accounts to have a breathing space and also contribute value to others and to the ecosystem. As widely accepted as the business layer of Hive, the second layer also served as a low cost investment option for Hive users.

I remember that as at a 18 months ago, one needed to have at least $15,000 as a capital to invest in Hive curation to be able to give out at least $1 and receive $0.5 in return. That would have required as much as 30,000 upvotes before reaching the break-even point. With the resource credit and voting manna system on Hive, only 10 upvotes would be healthy for a day.

That means that an investor would have taken 3,000 days or 428 weeks or 100 months or 8.2 years (8 years, 2 months) to be able to reach a point of recovering his investment and starting to make profit assuming that the price of the token and other factors remained constant. It would have been only possible to start taking profit earlier if the price moved on the positive side.

With the creation of Hive-engine tokens, one could own as much as 50k tokens for as less as 100 HIVE or less and with the printing rate of the tokens coupled with the inflation and supply, break-even period could be as low as 12 months or less.

As the journey continued, collateral tokens like SPI, BRO, INDEX, CTPSB and many more came forth which can allow a holder to break-even in just a few months depending on the demand of the token and the business model adopted by the lead team.

Another interesting event was airdrops in that a user could have become rich with "free" tokens airdropped to their Hive-engine wallets. I had received free PAL and a few other tokens that were worth over $100 when my Hive account was not worth as much as $500 after 18 months of dedicated engagement.

This tells us the import of leveraging. The Hive-engine layer leverages the resources and infrastructure of the maoin layer for business purposes and today we have tokens from projects like @LeoFinance, @SPortstalksocial, @Clicktrackprofits and many more with over $3 million market capitalization and ares till growing with in value with robust development added to the Hive blockchain.

Looking ahead to 10 years from now (just like an early investor in Bitcoin would have said 10 years ago), I can see my Hive-engine investment doing a 1000x pomp from today's value to over $1 million in worth. It is very possible. Already, LEO, SPORTS and LIST curation are pooling hundreds of dollars monthly as curation earnings, while tokens like CTPM, LIST, and HUSTLER are pooling over $50 in staking rewards on monthly basis.

We are looking at a geometric growth from here and we see the number of users interested in Hive's second layer tokens grow to triple today's number in the next 12 months. We see tens of thousands of investors coming here in the next 5 years and we can see a movement like BTC has made over the last 12 years.

I seem to understand better how cryto works on daily basis and I come to appreciate more HODLing and STAKING features. We're already having DeFi options on Hive and its been running for several months. Put together, Hive-engine tokens would have pooled over $300 million market capitalisation and that's already a huge crypto project.

My interest in LEO, CTP, SPORTS, LIST, CHARY didn't start today. I've been consistently following these projects for as old as Hive is and they're still in the preparatory mode for a take off. I don't want to be told how things moved, I want to tell others about it. I am sure that the over 20 tokens in my H-E portfolio has the capacity to make average users become rich.

I won't be surprised to see Hive users listed among top millionaires and Billionaires in the world in the next 10 years. The best way to make it to the list is to invest massively in these tokens while they are yet cheap.
