Living To Fight Another Day

Two years of blood sweat and tears and now it is time to pack my bags and move. I had hopes of reaching 18 000 SP as that was my initial goal that I had set out on. For those that aren't aware that was the amount of SP required to match the Steem price so if Steem was at $4 then your vote value was at $4 as well.

My goals will not change and will just carry on at Hive in my growing phase as nothing has changed really. This is not the end but a continuation of the journey with the users around me who I have come close to over my time here. We are all in the same boat together and it is not as though we are being banished from our promised land, but more about finding a better home with no ropes around our necks.

I used to wonder how bad actors on the block chain get punished and then we had the down votes arrive which was fantastic. The land of milk and honey for some turned sour overnight and it made for a better place community wise. I am sure the old chain of Steem will become the land of milk and honey soon enough when the down vote disappears once they hard fork.

Having goals on Steem/Hive is important as it gets you through the times that are difficult. We all get down on ourselves at some point and having a goal never allows you to get down as you have to just press on.

I have been watching the communities on Steem Engine become decimated over the last few days and I am hoping @aggroed can bring his toys along so we can still continue in Hive.I would like to not lose my Sports Tokens as even though they aren't worth much they still have value to me in what I managed to stack. Maybe we can bring them across as an SMT or something in the not too distant future. Not sure if that is possible, but I will start again if needed.

When I joined Steem this was not even a scenario I had contemplated on and it doesn't even phase me today as I have the trust in everyone around me. Weird that you have never even met these people yet we seem to know everyone just fine. We are all linked on the same path through what we have done on the platform and that is a real community.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone over on the other side and can't wait to get started even though it is basically the same thing without the rope around our necks. The main thing is the community lives to fight another day.
