The Sergio "Aguero Vs Thierry Henry" Who Seems To Be The Greater In Football? My Analysis And Reassessments

Having transferred from Athletico Madrid in 2011 no one knew the impact that Sergio Kun Aguero would bring to the English Premier League and just recently with 176 EPL goals he became the highest goal scoring player from abroad in the EPL, surpassing the legendary Thierry Henry in the process. First of all I don't think there should be any poll at all about who is greater than who, in my analysis of these two great player I don't want to be stuck into stating out what they've achieved solely because Lionel Messi hasn't won any International trophies but he's still bagging the world best (ballon D'or) like it's child's play while Christiano Ronaldo who has seen it all, played in every tier of football and still came out with a legendary status still has lesser (ballon D'or), so what does this tell you? Sentiment has been part of football and that's why a player like Wesley SNEIJDER didn't win the best player in the 2010 world cup

I believe goals are an integral part of the game, but in Aguero and Henry's comparison I think it's different, Henry attained legendary status not just because he can score goals but because of his impact towards the game, he played football in an era where you're hardly given a penalty for smartly falling in the 18 yard box, infact he played football when the game wasn't so Favorable and his audacity, his skills and trickery is something I think Aguero doesn't have, for example let's forget the fact that Ronaldoinho never played in the EPL or is a striker, or scored too many amount of goals, I believe no one will compare him him to Sergio Aguero and why is this? Ronaldoinho redefined the game of football, his impact was something written in the starts and Aguero's great status will never come close

In football nowadays goals doesn't justify everything, and while I feel Aguero is one of the modern days finest strikes I don't think there's a comparison here, the stats don't get to dictate of he is a better player than Henry. He singlehandedly won Manchester City the 2012 so did Drogba in the 2012 champions league finals, I feel his impact has somehow been overrated, to be a top striker in the 2004 invincible squad is no mean feat and I haven't looked at Aguero and I'm like wow this is what this guy has done, don't get me wrong Aguero has done it all, I means goals wise but have you seen Henry masterminding a goal out of nothing? I mean most of Aguero's goals have been long range strike, or he cuts In and bend it or simply move the ball in a comfortable foot, but Henry was a magician, he created goals out of nothing, he takes out players for fun like they don't exist and this impact was something the world will never forget let's not even talk about the Calibre of defenders Henry played against compared to Aguero, in their prime Henry played against Jamie Carragher, Sol Campbell, Nemanja Vidic who is considered to be one of the 5 best defenders the EPL has ever had.

Like I said again, don't get me wrong Aguero is something unbelievable, he's scored goals when he's expected to, he's gone on rampage and he's torn apart goalkeepers but believe me Henry is just slightly miles ahead and there's no comparisons, they played in two different era, Henry played football when football was for the passion and I the prerequisite in the EPL these days isn't sadly so. from Midfield Lampard scored more than 200 goals (something I think a Midfielder in the EPL won't do in the next 20 years) but sometimes a player like Xavi Hernandez of Barcelona who didn't even have up to 100 is considered more legendary and that's because the impact really differs a lot. Henry made More impact as a player than Aguero and this is just the basic reason why this comparison wouldn't, shouldn't and couldn't stand.

I'm an Arsenal fan, so my view might seem biased but I'm Thierry all the way. Henry was generally a better footballer and on top of the goals, he was also a creative and very skillful player.
