Axel Witsel probably not available in June

Saturday 09/01/2021 will be engraved in the memory of Axel Witsel forever. In the game against Red Bull Leipzig, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder tore his Achilles tendon while he was trying to give a pass. A terrible injury for a football player, which usually takes between 4 and 8 months to come back and be on the playing field again. So, the Euro's which start exactly 5 months from now, are very unlikely for him.

This brings in a big problem for Belgium coach Roberto Martinez. As Witsel is his defensive midfielder. The key player from which everything starts, and the one that is always playing in cover. The perfect number 6, he is called in Belgium.
He could be replaced by others, like Tielemans, Rits or even Fellaini, but it will never be like Witsel. So this brings in issues for the Belgian team, and puts a bummer on the chances of Belgium in the Euro's of this summer.

Let's hope he can recover by then, and Belgium can play at their full strength!
