Forest park in Homolka / Lesoparkem na Homolce

Today we will take a short walk through the forest park on the hill called Homolka. We can find him in Pilsen, in Slovany.
Let's also look at the abandoned shelter of civil defense.

We will start our walk on the final tram no. 1 - Slovany. We will need an hour of time and comfortable clothes and shoes. The walk is very undemanding, suitable for pregnant wives who can come with us. They just miss the challenging exercises on the elements placed here :)

Near the final tram we find this monument, dedicated to Czechoslovak legionnaires and war veterans. It has been standing here since 2007.

From the monument there is a children's educational trail with forest animals and a so-called fit trail with exercise elements. There are two fit trails, small for children and large, more challenging for adults.
In the forest park we can also find a number of trees overgrown with ivy.
And old stone stairs.

Here we can test the strength of the arms. Liability. I should strengthen more :)

The road leads us through an overgrown forest. In today's hot day, there is a pleasant shade that we can enjoy to the full.

My mushroom, a yellow-fleshed boletus, even peeked out at me.

The surface of the fit trail is covered with wood chips. She runs well, beautifully soft.
Here is part of the fit trail for children. It is littered with red wood chips, while the adult trail is littered with yellow wood chips.

At Homolka, on the top of a hill, we find a water reservoir for the Slovany district.

The shelter is of course closed and inaccessible to the public.

Pressure doors ...

The cover is allegedly partially flooded. Let's hope we never have to use similar buildings ...

Our walk is slowly coming to an end. We are heading for Slovanská třída behind the shelter. We bypassed Homolka and went out again on the final trams No. 1 on Náměstí Milada Horáková.

We didn't go many kilometers. But we were in the middle of the city.

Dnes se projdeme krátkou procházkou lesoparkem na vrchu zvaném Homolka. Najdeme ho v Plzni, na Slovanech.
Podíváme se i k opuštěnému krytu civilní obrany.

Naši procházku začneme na konečné tramvaje č. 1 - Slovany. Budeme potřebovat tak hodinku času a pohodlné oblečení i obuv. Procházka je velice nenáročná, vhodná i pro těhotné manželky, které můžou jít s námi. Pouze vynechají náročné cvičení na prvcích zde rozmístěných :)

Nedaleko konečné tramvaje najdeme tento pomník, věnovaný československým legionářům a válečným veteránům. Stojí zde od roku 2007.

Od pomníku vychází dětská naučná stezka s lesními zvířátky a tzv. fit stezka s cvičebními prvky. Fit stezky jsou tady dvě, malá pro děti a velká, náročnější pro dospělé.
V lesoparku najdeme i množství stromů porostlých břečťanem.
A staré kamenné schody.

Zde si můžeme zkusit sílu paží. Ručkování. Měl bych víc posilovat :)

Cesta nás vede zarostlým lesem. V dnešním horkém dni je tu příjemný stín, který si můžeme dosyta vychutnat.

Dokonce tu na mě vykoukla i babka, hřib žlutomasý.

Povrch fit stezky je vysypán dřevní štěpkou. Dobře se po ní běhá, krásně měkce.
Zde je část fit stezky pro děti. Je vysypána červenou štěpkou, kdežto stezka pro dospělé je vysypána štěpkou žlutou.

Na Homolce, na vrchu kopce najdeme vodojem pro městskou část Slovany.
A pod ním je specialita. Starý opuštěný protiatomový kryt civilní obrany z padesátých let... Fota bunkru: @garygeo1

Kryt je samozřejmě uzavřen a veřejnosti nepřístupný.

Protitlakové dveře...

Kryt je údajně i částečně zatopen. Doufejme, že podobné stavby nebudeme muset nikdy použít...

Naše procházka pomalu končí. Za krytem míříme na Slovanskou třídu. Obešli jsme Homolku a vyšli opět na konečné tramvaje č. 1 na Náměstí Milady Horákové.

Moc kilometrů jsme neušli. Ale byli jsme v přírodě uprostřed města.
Tak zase někdy na shledanou ;)
