last run in April

avatar

April the 30th, 2021. Friday afternoon. It was before lunch when I went out for a run. Rainy and warm day with the occasional wind. I intentionally overdressed to sweat the work off me.

The goal was to run an easy pace 10.6 kilometers long run to reach the monthly goal of 8 kilometers on average.

As is a custom in last days walking breaks were included for a minute every fourteen minutes. I tried to keep the pace under 6/min and in the end, it was a complete success. Exactly one hour in a 5:32 pace.

You can see how the pace and running power are correlated and how walk breaks keep it level. Running power reflects exhaust much better than heart rate does.

When the exercise was automatically transferred to Strava it was picked up with the Active Giving app too. 2.2 trees planted. Or so they say.

The map of the run - Črnuče, by the river Sava and back up. An easy run indeed.

5:32 !! Congrats man!

I always wonder about those tree planting things too. You see them everywhere and the majority are complete bullshit. I would hope Strava's would be legit, as they are a legitimate company haha

I hope that this is legit too. There are several organizations in the chain here and I suppose they all did their homework. The company actually connecting to field workers is German. I have good experience with German charity funds and I trust them.

In the end, it's all about trust.

It's all about trust, but hey, it's no loss if they are full of shit either. But I doubt it, like you said, I'm sure they did their homework!

Wow, you're doing a good job with this running. The documentation and the app you've used to record makes it look more fun and adventurous than I can swear it is😄

hello dear friend @ ervin-lemark good morning
What a good idea to include a one-minute walk as an interval in the 14-minute marathon, you have a lot of experience in this type of exercise
I take this opportunity to wish you an excellent weekend

Good line, I intentionally overdressed to sweat the work off me.
It seems that you did just that with a pace of 5:30 min/km
Hopefully the Eden Reforestation Project is following through on their promises!
