Snowy Night Run

I just finished a 8.661km running that lasted about 0hh:38mm:55ss !

Another late run. I used the little free time I had during the day for other activities, like walking the dogs, so once again I went for my run after 9pm. It's good to whet my appetite for dinner but that doesn't help getting to bed at reasonable times (as if I needed more excuses...).
The streets in my neighborhood are a mix of completely snow-covered parts and very nicely cleaned-up parts. So, it's not possible to wear my shoes with spikes, and that makes the snowy stretches very tricky, I had to be extra careful today.
But I felt really good on the run. At 7:23 min/mile (or 7:14 after import in Strava, still not sure why the significant discrepancy), average pace was definitely not my best, but it was very progressive, and kept getting faster along the way, except for mile 5 because that's really where the worse snow conditions are.
Other metrics were about the same as usual, if you exclude some strange peaks. But again, the good news is that it almost felt effortless, and I know I could have kept this pace for much longer. I might finally get past this plateau.
Tomorrow we should get more snow, so it's perfect for a rest day. After that, it's supposed to get colder and sunnier, which should bring good conditions for running, at least for my preferences. As this run already brought my total for January over 100km, with still almost a week to go, that should be a decent month.

Keep Exhausting!

PS: I just realized my tags have been ignored for the last 3 months in all my Exhaust posts, including #runningproject. Today, I'm trying a different browser on a different computer (usually just use my work laptop where I can't install anything not corporate-approved). We'll see if that helps.

*When someone tells you that what you want to do is impossible, change the word in your head to hard. What you want to do is hard. Hard is doable – it just requires dedicated work and effort and you can make it happen.
