Consistent Running month - Evening Run

I just finished a 10.518km running that lasted about 0hh:50mm:58ss !

Like I probably said a few times, I try not to set very strict targets for my running mileage every month, but I always have numbers in mind, and for May I just wanted to reach at least the same mileage as April. At some point, I thought I wasn't gonna be able to, but today's run brings my total for May to 125km, and that's about a couple km more than April. So, mission accomplished! Considering my cycling mileage was also 4 times more (65+ miles instead of 15), May was a solid month activity-wise. Hopefully I can keep the momentum in June, it will all depend on the weather, and how long the mild temperatures stick around. After 2 consistent months accumulating miles, I think I also need to try and restart adding speed drills in my training, with intervals on the track, and shorter/faster runs mixed in with the regular runs.

As for today's run, nothing really original. I started again in the woods, but I only stayed for one loop, about 1.5 mile, because I didn't want to repeat the near-fall from last time, and I also didn't think I would run more than 5 miles. But after going back to the asphalt, the sore legs started to get better, and after adding a few extra short loops around my main route, I finally ran just about 6.5 miles. At 7:48min/mile average pace, it was a bit slow, and I need to try to do a bit better next run (hence the speed training I mentioned above). Not much wildlife to report, except lots of rabbits today. Not sure why they were out in such numbers.

I think tomorrow should be a rest day, with only lots of walking with the dogs. But with some rain in the forecast for Wednesday evening, I might need to switch it and delay my rest day to Wednesday. As often, last minute decision based on the forecast.

Till then, keep Exhausting!
