Another hot one - Evening Run

I just finished a 8.72km running that lasted about 0hh:42mm:23ss !

Today wasn't as humid but even hotter! I mean 85F (almost 30 degrees Celsius) at 7pm is not that uncommon in June here, but it's just way too much for me. Almost enough to keep me from running, but I really want to keep my training going, so I went for a run anyways. My legs were not sore from the last runs but I did feel heavy (which happens often these days). It wasn't super fast, but the way I struggled and sweated, I thought it was way worse. Maybe if I slowly adapt to this heat, I'll be able to get back to a faster pace, under 7:30min/mile.

I chose to start in the woods for the shade, but with the humidity we had, bugs took over the whole place. I only got a few mosquito bites, but they were really following me. So after maybe 1.5 mile, I went back to the asphalt and back to one of my usual routes. As I wasn't sure I would be able to run a long time, it was better to stay on that well known route where I can easily cut the run shorter. I didn't reach the 10k I originally had in mind, but I did run longer than I thought I would after a couple of miles.
Not a lot of wildlife out there, but I saw quite a few people walking in the woods. Probably because I went slightly earlier than usual.

Like I said, I probably have to change my running habits. With this weather, running in the morning before it really gets hot, would be a good idea. But I usually get up quite late, so that's not going to be easy. We'll see.

Till then, keep Exhausting!
