I just finished a 12.462km running that lasted about 1hh:11mm:32ss !

As training has been changed a little over the past few weeks, I wanted to try something different to my usually Saturday speed work.

I love doing this at the gym on a treadmill as I can tune in the speed of the repeats and just run, where as things are a little different on a track. I also decided to do a nice 7km easy run for the warm up, which is also something a little different for me. @run.kirsty.run joined me for the run as we were going to see if a local sports track was worth doing our speed work at.

Another nice day and we both took it easy for the first 7km run. Then after some warming up, I decided on 4 x 800m with a 200m walk afterwards. I was sitting at an average of about 3 minutes and 8 seconds for each 800m, so was pretty happy with that, but was pretty stuffed buy the end of it. It was a tough work out and my back was actually cramping up afterwards like I had just run a marathon, so it obviously was a good work out for me.

Will try increasing the number of repeats over the comings weeks, and see where it takes me.

Stay Strong Everyone!

You have uploaded 245 running activities, and 12 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 12 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 145.84 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:08 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.74min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!
