Well, you may have seen in my last post that I helped @run.kirsty.run with her pacing. Now it was my turn to take on a virtual race.

The event both myself and Kirsty were planning on racing was supposed to be help back in April, then postponed to September, then at the last minute, forced by the government to be a virtual race. I had planned to train and race the 5km run but was not intending to have paced Kirsty for her half marathon before hand.

That is why I am considering my virtual race was handicapped as I was hoping for a faster time but with a 21km run in the bag earlier in the day, I knew it was not going to be as quick as I had hoped.

I jumped on my spin bike for about 15 minutes before hand to loosen up my legs and it really helped, but the whole 5km run was a massive struggle, and really happy to hit just over 20 minutes for the run.

I decided to do the run close to home and had @run.kirsty.run out for the last 200m or so and she was able to get the image for this article. I will continue to work hard on my speed and hopefully post some faster times in the near future.

Stay Strong Everyone!
