Morning Long Ride

I just finished a 130.454km cycling that lasted about 5hh:21mm:23ss !

We've been slowly building our distance over the past few months.

It's been pretty cool to see especially seeing @run.kirsty.run getting faster and stronger as she gets out on the ride. Her endurance is clearly getting better as her pace is staying constant over the hours of riding.

We had a 5 hour ride planned for today and the long week of work and training seemed to take it out of me a little. I struggled for the final hour and I think Kirsty could have dropped me if she wanted to and was grateful to have her company for the whole ride.

The weather was warm and we headed out to the quieter roads of South Auckland for the day. There was some nice cloud cover to keep us a little cool and the wind did not pick up until towards the end of our ride. I was struggling a little at the end of the ride, but a quick nap in the afternoon got me back moving again.
