Description from Strava:
I did not get my parkrun yesterday as we were out all day so I was keen to run today. It started a little cool, but was due to warm up and it has stayed dry.
It has been a while since I went over the fields to Henlow Camp so I gave that a try. The muddy track to the railway was not too bad. It is all changing around there as the new houses go up. On the other side of the tracks it is still as it ever was and it is nice to get away from roads sometimes. I followed the farm track to the farm and then on into the back of the RAF base. There were a few people out walking.
The road north from there is not so great, but there is not too much traffic and there is a path which is a bit rough. I carried on into Henlow village to pick up the road to Champneys spa and then onto the parkrun course that I ran in reverse. At the end I found the fallen tree that caused it to be cancelled last weekend. That has been cut up now.
Apart from when I was going over the bridges my pace was pretty consistent. I would like to go further, but this felt like enough. I did a lot of steps yesterday in London.
I was mostly in zone 4 for heart rate and zone 3 for pace, whatever that means. I see stuff about doing long runs in zone 2 and I need to clarify what that means. I just tend to run at a comfortable pace on longer runs. Going slower takes some focus.
I was mostly listening to the Drum Social podcast who were interviewing Ash Soan who has played with lots of big names. My musical ambitions are modest. I may have a gig with the jazz band in May.
Most of the rest of the day was about putting up the new potting shed. We had some help and it is up now. We can get some seeds started in there. It has been a nice day, but it got cooler when it clouded over.
Run free!

Seems your morning runs are definitely paying off, particularly with all those calories you are burning.
That's part of why I do it.
That was nice of someone to kindly cut a segment of tree trunk so that you can run. But it looks small enough to jump over! The size that I usually hop over on my mountain bike! 😁
!ALIVE
I could jump it, but people need to get through there with dogs and trolleys of fishing gear so they had to clear the path. For the parkrun they need to make sure the course is safe for everyone.
Of course, thats very true and absolutely right that our public parks are kept clear of these obstructions for all to enjoy. Out in the wider forests it is perhaps not so easy. I dont attempt as many of these obstacles these days for fear of injury 🤣.
Believe it or not, the best running trails are muddy and rural... I love running even though it's been a long time since I've done it.
I don't like too much mud, but I've experienced it. Today had a fair bit of rough terrain that was challenging.
Bueno , desafío superado..
You have a tree doing cancelations for you, :D !LOLZ !BBH
