Afternoon Run - Jon made me do it

I just finished a 14.479km running that lasted about 1hh:26mm:24ss !

I was not intending to run after a fairly long run yesterday, but my friend Job posted on Facebook that he was looking for someone to run with. I had not seen him in ages, so decided to meet up. We have played music together and share some interests. He and his wife are both triathletes and so pretty fit, but they have small kids and so cannot train much together.

He took me on a loop he does that was mostly familiar to me. We were not going particularly quickly as we were chatting most of the way. There were quite a few others out running and cycling. Jon spotted a few people he knew and had a chat with a guy out on his bike.

It was windy in places, but a nice temperature for running. My legs were feeling it by the end, but it was good overall. I will not do my planned run tomorrow now. I had some dinner waiting when I got back and my daughter had made scones for dessert.

Run free and stay well!

You have uploaded 156 running activities, and 13 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 13 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 186.91 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:51 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.967min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!

It takes time to build it up. I am aiming for 30km per week.

I was going to ask if you are able to run and talk at the same time. My wife and I don't usually talk too much because we are still half asleep when we get up to walk. I know the times we do talk, it makes the time go by much faster.

Normally there is nobody to talk to, but Jon and I had a lot of catching up to do. I've seen various sources say you should be able to talk whilst jogging.
