Morning run, but Garmin is down

I just finished a 6.26km running that lasted about 0hh:36mm:31ss !

I had to alter my plans a little today. I was going to repeat the workout I did with Jon last week. I had set it up in the Garmin app, but when I tried to download it to the watch this morning I found their service was down. That means I could not do my usual routine of having @Exhaust pick up the data from Strava, which gets it from Garmin. I entered the time and distance manually. I would hope the data will come through eventually. Actually I could have logged the run in the Strava app if I had thought about it.

I did have my long intervals routine on the watch, so I used that and improvised a route around the fields beyond the railway. That involves a couple of long climbs. I was getting down to 5 min/km for a fair bit of the fast sections.

It was a nice morning and not too hot. A few people were out walking dogs or just walking. I am not sure i saw any other runners. It is nice having the countryside so close to home. I never bother to drive anywhere to run.

Breakfast on my return was cereal and oat milk with three sorts of berries from the garden (gooseberry, raspberry, blackcurrant).

Hope everyone is having a good week whether you are running or not.

Run free and stay well.

You have uploaded 167 running activities, and 33 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 33 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 213.21 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:50 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.833min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!
Have a !BEER for your troubles!

I got fairly warm, but then I do regardless of the weather. I have a bit of a wash when I get back just to cool down a bit and get rid of some of the sweat. Straight in the shower after breakfast.

The temps weren't too bad for us this morning, but the humidity was right around 91% so that made things a little sticky. We have been getting out before the sun comes up the past week or so just to beat the crowds and because the temps are cooler.

I don't get up early enough really, but I'm making some effort to not get into the habit of lying in late for when I get back to work.

That makes a lot of sense. We get up at 5 each morning which is actually an hour later than we get up when school is in session.

I had troubles with strava actually.
I had to reconnect the strava app to my garmin watch yesterday...I think this could related with your issues as well

I think the issue is more with Garmin as nothing is working there. Maybe you broke it! ;)

It's not such a big deal, but I hope they fix it soon as a lot of people use these services.

I like your watch..

Hope everyone is having a good week whether you are running or not.

I have been quite lazy tho...but the week is going fine.

How are you?

The watch is a Garmin Forerunner 235. I got it earlier this year and it's cool as I don't need my phone to log a run plus I can see the stats at any time.

I'm fine. Enjoy your week and exercise when you can.

I had the urge to go out for a second time yesterday evening but thought better of it.

Those Garmin devices are nice looking. I do like watches with round faces on them.

I'm happy with this watch. You can customise it with loads of faces to choose from. I just need something readable.
