Morning Run - One more mate

I just finished a 7.163km running that lasted about 0hh:40mm:15ss !

Fourth day of my running streak and I seem to be surviving. Another fairly bright morning, but not too hot. I thought I would see if I could manage an intervals run and selected the 800m one on my watch. As the path is clear again now I just too the Pendleton Way (named after local girl Victoria) to Stotfold. As it turned out there was a truck parked on it whilst some guys were cutting holes, so I had to divert a little. I thought they had finished all the work there.

The first couple of sprints were hard work, but things improved as I warmed up. I really want to be doing under 5min/km on these.

I took some diversions when I got back to Arlesey to stretch it out a bit, but was caught a bit by surprise when I realised I had one more sprint to do! It is six and not five. I took the back way around Chase Hill to fit this in. That last one was tough, but I need these programmed routines to push me harder.

That makes 30km over four days and so should be well over 40km for the week. I wonder if I want to be doing every day all the time. Maybe I could do it for a week each month as I also want to fit in my half marathons and those need some recovery time. I am playing it all by ear and am open to suggestions. The aims are to improve my 5km time and to do more longer runs with the eventual goal of being able to do a full marathon.

Run free and stay well.

You have uploaded 181 running activities, and 65 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 65 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 461.36 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:50 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.619min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!
Have a !BEER for your troubles!

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)

You could try every day of the week, once a month. And 3 days a week the rest of the month. That should get you set for the half and full marathon. Resting daays are very necessary.

That is more or less what I was thinking of. I don't want to wear out my body.

Nice job on your streak! Somehow I almost made 10k steps yesterday, but I am not quite sure how. I didn't really exercise at all, but I was moving around my office quite a bit. I am guessing that must have been it. I hope your body and the weather allows you to keep your streak running for a while!

I seem to be dong okay so far. It's interesting to experiment with these things, but I will pay attention to any messages I get from my body as the last thing I want is an injury that stops me running.
