Morning Run - What superpowers?

I just finished a 13.074km running that lasted about 1hh:16mm:3ss !

I had my first COVID vaccination yesterday and am disappointed it has not given me super speed or something. Actually my legs felt really heavy at the start again so I doubted I could even run, but I kept going. It is quite a nice morning. Cool, but fine once I warmed up.

I did not try going so far this week and so it was a variant on my old loop. As I got to the top of the hill at Fairfield I got within a few metres of a crow in a tree that did not seem at all bothered by me. Then I saw a mass of squirrels a little further on. Maybe it is mating season.

My legs were still not feeling great, by I picked up some speed around there and on the way to Stotfold. I saw the ducks out by the stream.

I kept on around the edges of Stotfold where it is fairly quiet. I did not have to stop or walk apart from waiting for cars when crossing the road.

On the way back to Arlesey a couple of young guys came running past me and there was no chance of me keeping up. Not that I really tried.

I kept taking detours to stretch this out to 13km. I may try running tomorrow and see how that feels.

Run free and stay well.

Congrats on the vaccination. Can you now run without any tech now you have your own inbuilt GPS?

I just call up Dolly Parton and she sends me the trace.

Bill Gates is watching.
Well done on getting that run done. The ones that are hard from the start are the ones that make you stronger.
Glad to hear/read you’ve had tour vaccine :)

I'm sure Bill has better things to do when Google etc track me anyway :)

I was feeling run down later, so maybe the vaccine hit my system. Better today.

I had the AZ one & felt ropey for about 5-7 days after the first dose (could have been coincidental) then no symptoms after the second. Hope you’re over it now

I definitely feel better generally now. Get the second one at the end of May.

That's a shame, I was really hoping for undocumented features of this vaccine stuff.

No super speed, but you got that tracker injected in you so you are all good. Look, I can even see on the map everywhere you went! That is one of the big jokes around here right now. Mocking the people who think the vaccine injects a tracker into you! Nice job on your run!

There's a lot of crap talked about vaccines and I wonder about the real motivations of those doing it. I've seen most of it debunked.

I did feel a bit run down yesterday, but that could be a combination of the run and the vaccine. Feel better today.

Is your vaccine only one shot or do you have to get another yet?

I have another shot in May. Will still be cautious before then and maybe even afterwards. My wife and parents should all be done by then so maybe we can get together.

Oh right, you told me that. My mistake.
