Morning Run - Wot, no superpowers?

I just finished a 13.566km running that lasted about 1hh:20mm:54ss !

Yesterday I had my second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine. I was hoping to at least get super speed from that. At least the side-effects have not kicked in yet. I was going to cycle over to Letchworth for that, but the neighbour lent me his e-bike. That was fun. It still involves some effort, but I did not get too sweaty considering it was the warmest it has been in a while.

First thing today started cool and that suits me for a run. I was planning on my regular 13km or so. Just up the road I alerted someone that they were about to drive off with their pineapple chunks on the roof. They did stop to retrieve them. It was fairly quiet out there and I did not see too many runners. I went up to and around Fairfield with the usual little jumps over fences and gates. On the way up there my podcast cut out. My phone has been playing up a bit in the last couple of days. I decided to continue without it as my Garmin watch logs the run anyway.

There was a pedestrian crossing on the main road that kept turning to red as I was passing, but nobody was around. It was at least staying green long enough to let the cars through.

I did the regular loop around Stotfold with some variations. After going around the Green I decided to head towards Astwick to pick up the path across the fields. There are a load of new houses being built out that way. I also noticed a nice old Rolls Royce that seems to be rusting away. Maybe it is a restoration project.

As I left the road before Astwick I saw some guys unloading some motorcross bikes. I was hoping they were not going the same way as me and they did not. I decided to give my phone another go, which meant some walking, and eventually got my podcast back to finish the run. I am thinking it is time for a new phone anyway.

It was getting brighter as I finished the run and it is all blue skies now. It could be warmer than yesterday. My legs are not too bad. I have the Greenway half marathon next month. I am not expecting a super time, but it has been a while since I ran with a crowd.

Run free and stay well.

The main side affect I've gotten is my arm hurting like crazy for the next few days.

I had a bit of a sore arm after the first jab, but nothing really from the second. It seems to be pretty random how it affects people. Anyway, hope you are well now.
