Sprints enhancing...

I just finished a 6.245km running that lasted about 0hh:32mm:20ss !

I wanted to make it shorter today since I am planning for a hard workout for tomorrow evening so, what I did was what I used to do the day before I do a race, a pre-competitive workout or "activation".

It used to be 25' of comfortable run followed by some sprints of about 100m in progressive manner, so starting soft and ending very fast and with a high cadence, usually trying to reach a value above the 200 steps per minute.

To do my 100m sprints I chose a piece of street which includes a bicycle lane:

As you can see, it is very convenient since there is no bikes neither cars around, thanks still to the lockdown.

As I said, the sprints were around 100m long and lasted about 13 seconds each, then I walked back to the "starting line" each time to do another.

"Running" is not only "to run", you have to find the way to make it differently in every session because if not, you cannot improve, so, try to find always some changes in your training because they would help you to enhance your condition to an upper level.

Tomorrow more and better, for sure.

Keep on running!

You have uploaded 142 running activities, and 26 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 26 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 159.69 kms at an average pace of roughly 6:30 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.177min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!
Have a !BEER for your troubles!

Hello, I love the image with the bicycles and the clear street.
You are right to make a plan with different loads and rhythm every day, but doing those repetitions on asphalt is very hard.
Now I just try to stay active, slowly increasing the kilometers and also trying to gradually decrease the time. I was unemployed for a long time and the park where I train has been closed for more than two months.
A pleasure to read you, greetings.

hey, thanks dude!! Yes, asphalt is very aggressive if you run over that pavement every day which is nor my case. I used to combine different grounds always.
BEER!

Cheers!
