We haven't lost so much...
I just finished a 9.041km running that lasted about 0hh:45mm:23ss !
Well, well, well...
More than 6 Months have passed since I did my last running drill-workout on the athletic track.
During the hard days/weeks of lock down, any sport facility was close in my city, also the athletic track and, due to the obligation of teleworking from home those days, I obliged myself to keep doing exercises indoors and then, when the lock down was finished, outdoors but always at the surroundings of my home...
Finally, on Mid-July, the athletic track get opened for the "audience" but still I thought was better to stay close to home.
Today, I came back...and I really needed it.
I met there a few of my fellows of the running gang and I needed really to do some "serious work" so I joined a couple of friend that were planning for a session of 15 times 300m intervals on the track, recovering 100m jogging...
A demanding workout to start with if you ask me but I tried to do it in a very controlled way.
The majority of them lasted about 1'09" which means a controlled pace of 3'50"/km but the last 5 repetitions have been really fast, 1'09" , 1'08" , 1'06" , 1'05" and... 59" (LOL)
Last repetition has been amazing, I felt really well and light, the pace has been below 3'20"/km which gives me hopes on not having lost so much running fit during all these bad months...
We definitely haven't lost so much!!!
Keep on running!
