Adding to my Titans card collection!

So the other day my sister in-law, my nephew, and I decided to stop at a Comic shop. It was my idea to stop in. I wasn't sure if they would have sports cards since they mostly appeared to sell Comic book things and other fantasy type of products. But luckily enough, they had a small selection of sports cards! They also sell other handy card accessories.

So we went through them for a good couple of minutes and I ended up buying 73 cards for 10 cents a piece. I found some basketball, baseball and football ones. I intend on attempting to sell the majority of my cards but I also eagerly took a nice bit of Titans cards to add to my collection. I love getting new Titans cards. I would love to have a giant and epic Titans card collection when I'm old/die that will impress all Titans fans. Of course if my business continues to slowly improve and expand, I wouldn't mind having some other cards. I think I would like to collect running backs one day. But for now I want to have the greatest Titan card collection ever. And some of my favorite teams from other sports, but the Titans are the cards I desire the most if I'm being totally honest. At the moment anyway.

Cards are so unique and temporary really. I know they're printed in mass quantities but once a season or career ends, those cards are instantly 'rare' in my opinion. Cards can get ruined in so many different ways, so owning a good card in good condition, is great.

Anyway, here are the Titans cards I grabbed!!

  • I got a Titans Alge Crumpler card which is not bad, but I still remember that horrible fumble in the 2009 Playoffs that totally blew the game against the Baltimore Ravens. Oh well he was still a Titan and the Titans got some nice revenge in these last 2020 playoffs.

  • I am pretty pumped to receive a Mike Munchak card! He is an Oilers legand and NFL Hall of Famer. He was also the Titans head coach from 2011-2013, what a find!

  • Derrick Mason is arguably the best Titans receiver ever, always happy to have his card.

  • 2011 Titans team card! This is a great card. It's got Matt Hasslebeck shown mainly on the front. Not many people know that Hasslebeck was a starting quarterback on the Titans! He led the Titans to a respectable 9-7 record and nearly a playoff berth.

  • My third Vince Young rookie card! I don't think I need to elaborate too much with this guy, most football fans know this guy's story for the most part.

  • Billy Volek is probably the best backup quarterback the Titans ever had, I remember him throwing for over 400 yards in a game once on like 70 attempts LOL. He's a fun card to own as a Titans fan.

  • Kevin Dyson is a good card too, he was a respectable player during his time in Tennessee. Sadly, he was the guy that was tackled one yard short in the 2000 Superbowl... The touchdown would have at least tied the game. But time expired. Soooo sad. One day there will be redemption!

  • Always hype to have a Steve McNair card! I don't own this version, so that's great. Maybe one day I'll collect a bunch of his cards.

  • I got two LenDale White cards! One rookie and one regular, but great one. I always really enjoyed watching this guy run. He was such a tough runner! He had a ridiculous amount of touchdowns for Tennesee. He was the power side of Chris Johnson's speed in that awesome 2008 season. Memorable player for me, I thought he was going to be the next Jerome Bettis.

  • Two identical Kerry Collins cards! These are BIG for me. He was a solid Titan in my opinion! Probably underrated. Not only was he the quarterback that led the Titans to a 13-3 record in 2008, he's actually from my area, like insanely close! He went to my high school's arch rival high school. He's not just a Titans legend, but a local legend as well! I don't own any Kerry Collins cards till now, and now I've got two!

I appreciate all of these Titans cards in different ways. I've got some rookie cards and some nice Titans legends. The pictures aren't exactly perfectly clear, but they're pretty nice. Feel free to explore some of the cards/players I didn't mention with your own googling.

Let me know what you think of my latest Titans loot! Maybe you know some history about a certain player that I don't.

Keep collecting and sharing!
