Man United v PSG

While it's great to see the champions league coming back after what was an admittedly short break compared to most years. You have to fear for Manchester United on their form so far this year.

After pulling off a miracle end of season to reach the champions league group stages with a superb run of form they are now very hit or miss in their opening games. Very little has changed in their squad over the transfer market while the same questions of the past few years remain over Pogba. A player with flashes of brilliance between long stretches of anonymity. Is he worth putting on the pitch in the hope of a good day or should they just take the hit and offload him to another team at a loss?

Fernandes was a great buy at the time but you fear for his motivation going forward if the rest of the team isn't pulling their collective weight to support his enthusiasm and drive. A poor team can drag down the best of players. You cannot do it by yourself unless everybody is willing to buy into the managers vision and work for the cause.

Facing Mbappe, Neymar and assorted other attacking threats it is hard to see any outcome where PSG don't score more goals than Man united. Going forward they are a match for anybody but with a defense barely covering a nervous keeper I will guess at least 4 goals for PSG with 2 for United. Even as a fan I don't see them coming away with a win here and they practically stole the one in 2019 against the run off play.

It is great to see quality matches back on the tv so I can settle in with a few cans of Guinness for the evening and watch what i expect to be a high cscoring uneven match.

PSG 4 - United 2
