My Hero One’s Justice 2 is a one-on-one three-dimensional fighting title in which we can use helpers to carry out strategies in combat. Continuation of the game with the same name, this installment incorporates new characters, locations and some adjustments that make it generally more satisfactory, although I have missed more new features that make it stand out from what was seen in the previous game.

His story

History takes us to a world where most humans have a gift, resulting in some using it for good and others using it for evil, resulting in both heroes and villains. The protagonist of this adventure is Izuku Midoriya, who does not have a gift but dreams of studying at the U.A. (a prestigious academy for heroes) and become a hero like his idol All Might. After rescuing a friend and verifying his determination, All Might recognizes him as his heir and grants him his powers. Here begins a long journey for Deku (his hero nickname), where he will have to strengthen himself along with his companions and friends to fulfill his dream while facing various challenges.

This new installment takes place right after where the original game left off, after the fight of All Might against All For One, and it goes until the recent season of the anime, exactly until the fight between Deku and Overhaul (Kai Chisaki). It is well told, using color bullets in true manga style, but it is true that certain details are sometimes omitted. It is appreciated, however, that we can discover the plot from the point of view of the heroes and the villains.

Online and customization

To tell the truth, where the game really remains exquisite is when entering the component of character customization. Once again, we have countless possible combinations again, which are even greater because we have new characters in the cast - easy to imagine which ones take into account the main faces of the aforementioned story arcs. Whether they are accessories for the face, legs, arms, body or practically any part to imagine, it is quite easy to find that unique model that makes the character shine. Likewise, we have various sets through which to store our creations, being these easily accessible.

Very continuous gameplay

Where a lack of ambition is really noticeable in My Hero One's Justice 2 is in the paucity of novelties in its gameplay. While it is true that there are some new mechanics, the reality is that the general experience is practically identical to that of the first installment. Although this assumes that those who spend more hours on the first game will arrive here as complete veterans, it also implies that they may feel somewhat disappointed. Again, the sequence of basic attacks returns, easy-to-execute Gifts, a block, dodge, and the occasional impossible-to-block attack to change the flow of the action.

It really is difficult to have the same positive feelings with My Hero One's Justice 2 as with the first installment. Given that both are very similar titles, the fact that in this case the progression is practically nil and we also tell a story that is 'hanging' - neither the beginning of the narrative nor the end of it, since the story continues - they make the end result not as satisfactory as could be desired.

In any case, My Hero One's Justice 2 is still a correct title for those who love Kouhei Horikoshi's work. The customization and winks make this a fun title in general, but somewhat difficult to recommend if you already have the first game.
