Browning Dagger Wihongi

So while I'm on a Browning Wihongi roll. This is the dagger that started it all. I was originally looking around for another Kriss blade dagger and/or replacement boot knife when I ran across this.

I just had to have it. I then followed up with the matching folding knife posted last week as well. They also make a matching Kukri knife and even a Tomahawk that have been very tempting, but so far I've held off until my mad money gets built back up.

This one is model # 320194BL Dagger. Made out of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel. and G10 scales. A nice touch are the Mosaic pins, lanyard hole, full-tang construction and pommel-like bolster and crown.

It came with a nice Kydex sheath suitable for either belt or strap-on usage. 5" blade and 10 3/4" overall length. It came out in March, 2017.

It's one of my top favorites. I don't often take it out, but it's sharp, very solid and I'm sure could take a beating. I may actually even buy a plain version just to carry about so that I can keep this one clean.

What is it with the Maori pattern thing? Do you have some connection to them?
And honestly, that plastic sheath doesn't match. It would need something natural, stylish - may be even leather that also has a Maori pattern on it.

I have a few daggers, but they are more medival style, damascus steel and wood handle. I'll make a post about them one day.

No connection, Just liked the pattern on the Dagger as something different, the folder was just a bargain add-on I got at a good price for ordering together.
Totally agree on the sheath. I'm generally not a fan of Kydex for holsters either, but it does function well. It kind of clicks in there and holds pretty firm without a holding strap. I still don't trust it, one of the reasons I don't carry it around. A nice leather sheath with a holding strap would be ideal.

Would like to see your other daggers, huge fan of damascus blades.

Well, if you are not familiar with leather craft, may be you can find someone in your region who does it for you. It's usually not cheap, though, especially if it envolves ornaments.

The damascus knifes will be reviewed as well, just takes a bit of time. Making pictures, writing something meaningful ect. But I'll get there sooner or later... :)
