El Miércoles 31 de Marzo del presente año, se jugó el partido entre la selección de Alemania frente a Macedonia del Norte, en el Estadio Schauinsland Reisen-Arena, con el arbitraje del ruso, Sergei Karasev, quien cuenta con 41 años de edad.
On Wednesday, March 31 of this year, the match between the German national team and North Macedonia was played at the Schauinsland Reisen-Arena Stadium, with the 41-year-old Russian referee, Sergei Karasev, officiating.
De igual modo, ambas selecciones llegaban a este compromiso luego de ganar sus respectivos juegos en la jornada dos de las eliminatorias europeas, lo que daba a entender que seria un encuentro muy disputado de principio a fin.

Alemania y Macedonia del Norte, arrancaron el encuentro con una intensidad sorprendente, con llegadas en ambos arcos, viéndose el potencial de los Alemanes en el frente del ataque, en donde Kai Havertz y Serge Gnabry constantemente se hacían presente en el área chica de la selección visitante, quien en algunos pasajes del partido estuvo al margue de que le anotaran el primer gol del juego durante los primeros 45' minutos. Aún así, Macedonia del Norte, siguió apostando por su fortaleza en el juego colectivo y en la fracción 45+2' del primer periodo, llegó la primera anotación en las piernas del experimentado jugador, Goran Pandev, este último, termino definiendo de pierna izquierda con mucha tranquila en el punto del penal, batiendo la humanidad de Marc-André ter Stegen, de un flojo y oscuro partido para él guardameta Alemán.
Germany and North Macedonia started the match with a surprising intensity, with attacks on both goals, showing the potential of the Germans in front of the attack, where Kai Havertz and Serge Gnabry were constantly present in the small area of the visiting team, who in some passages of the match were on the verge of scoring the first goal of the game during the first 45' minutes. Even so, North Macedonia continued to bet on its strength in collective play and in the 45+2' fraction of the first half, the first goal came in the legs of the experienced player, Goran Pandev, the latter, ended up defining with his left foot very calmly on the penalty spot, beating the humanity of Marc-André ter Stegen, in a weak and dark game for the German goalkeeper.

En el segundo tiempo, todo cambiaría. La selección de Alemania sabia que tenia que ser más efectivo en cuanto a sus llegadas y así poder finalizarlas de buena manera ante una muralla como el combinado de Macedonia del Norte, quien al minuto 63' recibía el primer tanto del encuentro, luego de una jugada colectiva en el mediocampo Alemán, en donde interviene Leon Goretzka, este último, termina asistiendo por el costado izquierdo al habilidoso jugador zurdo, Leroy Sané. En cuestión de segundos, Sané, no se lo pensó mucho y engancho a su pierna más hábil y el carrilero Ezgjan Alioski cayó en la trampa, cometiendo la falta en el corazón del área al actual jugador del Bayern de Múnich. Para el lanzamiento desde los 12 pasos, fue İlkay Gündoğan, siendo su disparo transformado en gol. De esta forma y con un poco más de tranquilidad, seguía avanzando el encuentro.
In the second half, everything changed. The German national team knew that they had to be more effective in terms of their arrivals and thus be able to finish them in a good way against a wall like the North Macedonian team, who in the 63rd minute received the first goal of the match, after a collective play in the German midfield, where Leon Goretzka intervenes, the latter ends up assisting on the left side to the skilled left-footed player, Leroy Sané. In a matter of seconds, Sané did not think twice and hooked the ball to his more skilful leg, and the defender Ezgjan Alioski fell into the trap, committing the foul in the heart of the box to the current Bayern Munich player. For the spot-kick, it was İlkay Gündoğan, his shot being converted into a goal. In this way, and with a little more tranquility, the match continued to progress.

Macedonia del Norte, entendía que tarde o temprano llegaría el gol de la ventaja en el partido. La visita siguió atacando e incomodando a la defensa Alemana, comandada por Matthias Ginter, Emre Can y Antonio Rüdiger, quienes estuvieron mal en algunos contragolpes del juego, en donde la selección roja le hizo daño desde los costados y con sus jugadores explosivos en el ataque. A medida que seguían transcurriendo los minutos, el empate se mantenía en el marcador, hasta que en la fracción 85', Arijan Ademi, desborda por el costado izquierdo y asiste en el área chica al mediocampista, Elif Elmas, quien termino definiendo de pierna derecha y dejando sin oportunidad al cancerbero Teuton. Con esta segunda anotación, se hacia cuesta arriba a la selección de Alemania para ganar el cotejo en lo que quedaba de minutos. Finalmente y con poca efectiva, los Alemanes, terminan perdiendo su primer duelo del Grupo J de estas eliminatorias europeas ante una selección que esta jugando a buen fútbol.
North Macedonia understood that sooner or later the goal of the advantage in the match would come. The visitors continued attacking and bothering the German defense, led by Matthias Ginter, Emre Can and Antonio Rüdiger, who were bad in some counterattacks of the game, where the red team hurt them from the flanks and with their explosive players in attack. As the minutes continued to pass, the tie remained on the scoreboard, until in the 85th minute, Arijan Ademi, overflowed down the left side and assisted in the small area to midfielder Elif Elmas, who ended up defining with his right foot and leaving the Teuton goalkeeper with no chance. With this second goal, it became difficult for the German national team to win the game in the remaining minutes. Finally and with little effectiveness, the Germans, end up losing their first match of Group J of these European qualifiers against a team that is playing good soccer.
