Oh, baseball! Like any sport, it gives you the opportunity for redemption and the villain of game four of the series, turned out to be the hero of game six and in the crown for the favorite Los Angeles Dodgers: Mookie Betts. Who remembers him now as the one responsible for mis-shooting the ball in that last inning of game four of the series, for history? No one! And that's the magic of the ball game. He scored the winning run in the game that mattered winning and hit a home run that buried the Rays' hopes - total redemption!

We predicted it in our last publication and in the first of this series: if the Dodgers managed to control the Tampa bats, they could have taken the series in four games, they lost two games: one for not controlling those bats and one for own mistakes (besides not controlling the Rays line-up). In any case, the sixth game turned out to be a gem of a pitch by rookie Tony Gonsolin.

The Lakers and Dodgers turned the city of Los Angeles, California in the western United States into a happy city for a few moments after the fateful outcome of the numbers of infected and dead in that country. The city's baseball team was 32 years old and not enjoying a title, after the glorious 80's when they savored the years of Tom LaSorda at the head of the team. Those Dodgers seemed unbeatable, just as the current dynasty seems to be with four campaigns playing the world series in the last six years.

In retrospect, the Dodgers were coming off a dream campaign, in a calendar cut to 60 games, Betts, Seager, Bellinger and company hitting more than 15 home runs each and Clayton Kershaw was finally able to end up with a title in his hand, as elusive as the team name. The opening pitch was up to parchment and there was no serious opponent in their division, until the playoffs came and the miracle almost didn't happen.

Why? I imagine they remember a team called the Atlanta Braves with Ronald Acuna and company, almost embittered by the season because they were down 3-1 in the league championship series. Only the Bravos' indulgence allowed Los Angeles to have a championship baseball team today. Even if the Rays hadn't let their guard down with the bats at key moments, this story would be a different one. Because threats were made but the right bat never came.

The celebration on the field, was not as much as you would expect when you crown yourself in front of your audience and was rather apathetic given the setting in which they played: a neutral park. There wasn't the usual champagne, because it was known that very night that one player was infected with the virus and this was enough to end any vestige of a group party. It will be next year when the champion team will be able to celebrate, of course! Provided that the respective vaccine is achieved.

Last out of the series and the feverish activity begins in the major league offices, to get returns from the low season and to achieve the best team for the coming season. For this server, it has been an honor to see these Dodgers crowned, I would have preferred to see Tampa with the scepter, but in baseball, as in life, if you don't do your job, you won't see the win. Thank you for sharing with me, these three deliveries.
