Brasil sigue siendo Brasil.

Brazil is the team that stands out from the rest. They win at home and away. Solid, confident, conceding very few goals, conceding only two in six games and scoring sixteen, far and away the best of the lot.

Nothing seems to point to a decline in the future and it may be classified well in advance.

With a perfect score after six games played, it looks at everyone from above with its 18 points, six more than Argentina, its closest rival. An abysmal difference.

There have been so many draws in the last matches that even Peru and Venezuela, which before playing this date were considered almost eliminated, are now nurturing some hopes of taking, at least, to the playoff for the fifth place.

Between the two teams and Uruguay and Colombia, the fourth-placed teams, there is only a four-point difference. This speaks of absolute parity (except for Brazil, obviously).

In this new double matchday most of the teams fighting in the middle of the table have drawn so their situation in the table has not changed too much. And the positions have become even more compressed thanks to Peru's away win over Ecuador (something unthinkable in practice).

Argentina, in spite of improving their game a lot, started as if they could have beaten Colombia, who did not make their footing in the first minutes and before the end of the first quarter of an hour they were already leading by 2 to 0. But this devastating pressing caused Argentina to lose energy until it took refuge near its goal, which was fatal in the last play of the match that allowed Colombia to tie the game.

Brazil is still Brazil. And with this, all is said and done. It is not only Neymar. Unlike Messi, in Argentina the whole team plays and rotates around its star, but all of them with their own light. Although the second goal came in stoppage time, their victory was never too much compromised in their visit to Guarani.

Ricardo Gareca, the Argentine coach who has been in charge of the Peruvian national team since 2015, managed to get his players' confidence back and with good game management overcame an erratic Ecuador, placing them in an expectant position with a view to an eventual playoff.

Venezuela and Uruguay played the classic match where one cannot and the other does not want to. And as always happens in these cases, the result is a draw because neither wants to risk more than necessary.

Chile drew for the second consecutive time (as did Argentina) at home against Bolivia in a match where the trans-Andean team, unlike in the previous match, went a little more on the attack, but came up against Bolivia's solid defense and, in extremis, with the goal-scoring ability of the revelation of these qualifiers: the Bolivian Marcelo Martins.

Tite seems to have found the right balance in the Brazilian team, it is not only Neymar but all those who revolve around him @jersteemit.sport

Yeah the coach doing the right things has the team now playing better than ever. Glad to see the team not fully dependent on Neymar.
