(ESP) Mi Análisis sobre "la Apertura Española o Ruy López" || (ENG) My Analysis of "the Spanish or Ruy Lopez Opening "

Hello friends, today I bring you a very complete analysis of my part based on the subject that I dominate the most as it is chess, I will be teaching you in a very interactive way but at the same time very deep about the Spanish Opening or Ruy Lopez as it is also known, before I start I want to tell you that this publication took me two days to write it so that it is understood in a very clear way, I also played this opening for a week against a friend and I took the opportunity to study it.

Apertura./ Opening.

This opening is no longer played very often compared to past times but it is still tactical and quite good. Its initial position goes as follows e4, e5, Nf3, Nc6, Bb5 as shown in the image.

The main objective is posed by White when on his third move he attacks with the Bishop to the Knight defending the pawn on e5 after playing Bxc6, dxc6, Nfxe5. White is left with the center as well as a powerful Knight in the center.

Pero...../ But....

Black can play his Queen to the d4 square, making the Knight on e5 very uncomfortable.

IMG_20210528_191132.jpg

and after it is removed, Black recovers the pawn Qxe4+ and is in a very good position.

IMG_20210528_191142.jpg

Las negras tendrían mejor posición./Black would have a better position.

Sin embargo.../However

Playing Bb5 is still a solid move because it leaves the ground prepared for the castling of the white King and develops one more piece, the white castling would be another reason for Black to look to do something with his King since in a few moves the white Rook on h1 will join the attack against the opposing monarch. Of course, in this third move Black can respond in various ways because really that Bishop on b5 does not cause an immediate threat.

¿Cuál es su objetivo? / What is your objective?

In the Spanish opening, White plans to spoil the black pawn base since after the exchanges at c6 Black would be left with doubled pawns very early in the game, I must say that in this opening the Bishop is not always exchanged for the Knight but White prefers to retreat to a4 in case Black plays a6 to attack the white Bishop.

IMG_20210528_193505.jpg

Variantes en esta apertura./Variants in this opening.

When White poses this opening Black can defend with the Berlin Variation in which he plays Nf6 attacking the pawn at e4,

IMG_20210528_193505.jpg

At first glance one might think of playing Cc3 with White to defend the pawn but the best move or at least the most advisable is to play the short castling with White entering the Morphy defense.

This variant has also been played millions of times and White gives up the defense of the e4 pawn by castling, Black plays Be7 preparing the ground for his castling and in turn with this bishop he closes the central column that exposed the black King, so now it is convenient to defend the e4 pawn.
IMG_20210528_193525.jpg

Una Pequeña Trampa./A Little Trap.

Veamos la siguiente posición

Let's look at the following position

IMG_20210528_194207.jpg

What would happen if Black captures the pawn on e4?

IMG_20210528_194226.jpg

because White plays d4 and if Black captures exd4, White has Rook e1 pinning the Knight.

IMG_20210528_194253.jpg

and if defended with d5 White recovers a pawn on d4 by attacking twice the knight on c6 which is pinned by a powerful Bishop on a4.

IMG_20210528_194305.jpg

So White has exchanged a pawn in exchange for a strongly well planted position now Black is behind in development and has to look for a desperate plan.

Esto es Todo amigos.!/That's all folks!

I hope you like this well written analysis about the Spanish Opening or Ruy Lopez that I forgot to mention that it is named after a Spanish priest named Ruy Lopez de Segura who was the one who played this opening and was a precursor of it without counting the amount of written material he left about chess and its tactics, thanks for visiting this blog.
