Venezuela y Ecuador se disputan la segunda jornada de la copa continental, en la disciplina de voleibol de arena femenina. Las criollas estan llevando a cabo una jornada de dos encuentros cada equipo, pues a su vez se dividen en 2 equipo 1: Gabriela Brito y Norisbeth Agudo ; equipo 2: Daniela Gonzáles, Yholiennis Camacho que enfrentarán a su vez a las meridianas equipo1: Ariana Vilela y Karelys Simisterra ; equipo2: Andrea Villamar y Mishelle Molina.

La jornada tiene lugar en la ciudad Olímpica de San Juan de los Morros, dónde se han hecho presente este 12 y 13 de marzo para disputar el encuentro de la copa continental femenino. Que a su vez serán definidas en las jornadas finales, las plazas para disputar los juegos olímpicos de Tokio 2020, juegos que cómo conocemos fueron aplazados por lo sucedido el año pasado a nivel pandemia. Por supuesto que el nombre del torneo se mantiene intacto al igual que la sede del mismo.

Las representantes criollas, tienen gran favoritismo en la jornada, además de que los resultados generales que se han dado hasta ahora las favorecen, les acompaña la localía. En los primeros 2 encuentros disputados que se dieron de la siguiente manera Venezuela 1 vs Ecuador 2 salieron airosas las venezolanas, y el otro emparejamiento Ecuador 1 vs Venezuela 2 las meridionales se hicieron con la victoria. Éste último encuentro según los registros, siendo el más interesante de los dos cotejos pues la puntuación estuvo bastante pareja, y tuvo que llevarse acabo un 3er set que definiría la historia del partido.

Al finalizar esta jornada, las ganadoras a su vez se enfrentarán en la próxima instancia de la copa continental a los ganadores entre Paraguay y Chile. Y es aquí dónde todo cobra más importancia y seriedad pues está fase definira los representantes para ocupar las plazas en Tokio 2020. Hoy 13 de marzo se llevará a cabo la segunda jornada de los dos encuentros restantes, que serán Venezuela 1 vs Ecuador 1 y Ecuador 2 vs Venezuela 2.

Todo quedará a espectativa, creo que Venezuela tiene gran potencial en esta disciplina, tanto en voleibol de cancha cómo vóleibol de arena, se han logrado hacer buenos papeles, tanto en categorías femeninas cómo masculinas. Además de frecuentes presencias en esta disciplina específica, recordando la participación de Río 2016 tanto en voleibol masculino cómo femenino... sin duda éste puede ser el inicio al camino a alguna medalla olímpica. ¿Y ustedes que creen amigos?
