We have an early contender for the 2020/2021 premiership season
Don't be surprised by the title, every word announced was thoughtful thought through. Corona did its part to disrupt this current 2019/2020 season which Liverpool already claimed the title for itself after a well-deserved football campaign. It was a season they will all remember because they were fire and it's so easy to see why they became champions at record time.
But as a lot of teams have started preparing for the next season which is the 2020/2021 premiership season, Chelsea, in particular, have made great strides in acquiring two great footballing options even before the completion of this current campaign. This goes a lot way to show Chelsea intent for what it has in store for the Premiership next season and they are not slowing down yet in the transfer market.
The signing of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech from both RB Leipzig and Ajax provides extra firepower to the Chelsea team upfront as the team looks to prepare for life without their old loyal servants like Giroud, Pedro and Willian. All players are well over 33 years of age and their playing days is gradually coming to an end. The infusion of young blood with a very hefty experience already made the signing a very fantastic one.
What remains for the team to do is to seal and make their defence even stronger at the backline. A purchase or two is all they need to make the defence tighter as they have players in the middle and upfront already who can handle those positions well.
