Can You Defend Kick With Legs?

You can use your hands to parry and block. You can use your legs to kick. When someone kicks you, you can use your hands to block and you can also use your legs to defend that.

To defend a kick with legs, you need to know how to use your legs as a defense. If your opponent does a low kick, you can raise your leg to defend that. Or, you can kick to his leg to stop his kick. In this way, you can block a kick.

You can also move backward as a defend against kicks. So when should you use your legs to block kicks?

If your opponent kicks high usually above the waist, you should use your hands to block. If you want to use your legs to block, you can do that, but it takes more time to raise your leg to do that. It is easy and fast to use your hand to parry and block the kick.

If your opponent does low kicks, you should use your legs to defend yourself. As soon as you see that your opponent is about to kick you, you can kick his leg to stop him right there.

When you kick as a defense or kick as an attack, always keep your hands in the right position. Don't keep your hands here and there or, do something fancy move with hands while kicking. In a fight, you might deal with multiple attackers. So when you kick one attacker, other attackers might hit you.

If your hands are in the right position, you can defend that easily. So do not let your guards off when fighting for self defense.
