We are very excited and happy to learn something new. If you are passionate about martial art and decide to start learning, you are welcome. From outside, we see martial art as some moves like kicks, punch, parry, block, and so on.

Once someone told me that after exam when you have free time, you can learn martial arts in 3 months. I already started learning martial art back then. As a student, we were busy going to school, homework, and studies.

Some people think if you spend one or two months, you can learn a martial art and it's over. There are different short courses that teach you some basic moves. They make this thinking about people who want to learn something fast in a short period of time.

We want to get everything fast. Learning martial art and be good at it, it takes time. You cannot just do that in a short period of time.

You see some martial art action movies where actors do not know martial art and they are taught in a short period of time. Well, they learn to act as a martial artist. And that training prepares them acting in movies as the character they are playing.

There is a huge difference between acting and being good at something. If you are passionate about martial art and want to learn martial arts, have the mindset right. You cannot learn it quickly. You have to put your effort and time to learn martial art step by step.

There is no shortcut or some magic moves that makes you good at it. When you have a strong why, it gets easier to be focused and keep learning martial arts.

A martial artist does not only know how to strike and hit, but he/she also knows how it feels like getting hit. He does not want to have a fight or hurt other people without any reason. You will learn a lot of things besides fighting. And it will impact your life way more than you think. It helps you to do better in your professional life as well as personal life.

Ask yourself why you want to learn martial arts because that's the driving force that keeps you moving forward in the journey of learning martial arts.

Thank you so much for reading this post. Please feel free to leave your comments below. That's it for now.

Stay safe. Always be happy!

Martial arts should be considered a life long pursuit. Even to get your body ready for the rigors of martial arts can take months. After that constant practice is required just to keep in form and add to the skills in a step by step fashion. Martial arts is a discipline. Anything that is called a discipline is not something that can be learned in a few months.

If someone really wants to learn martial art, he/she has to spend time on it. There is no alternative. You cannot learn it by doing a short course like two or three months.

Thank you so much @fit.zone for your feedback! I appreciate that!

Having a strong reason to do something keeps us in line even when difficulties comes.

I love martial arts for the fun of it actually I don't mind having a trial towards learning it to see how the training is and if I can cope with it.

Anyone can learn martial arts if he/she wants to. Yes, a strong reason helps you keep going. Thank you @starstrings01 for your comment!
