Understand The Situation For Self Defense

Life is not like a movie. So when you deal with any situation and act as a hero in a movie, it can make the situation worse. One of my recent posts, I wrote,

When you make your move to defend yourself, you should take action based on how severe the situation is.

If you do the same thing in every situation, it might not work. There are a lot of variables that can change the situation and you have to make your move accordingly.

In martial arts training, you learn and train how to strike in vulnerable points of the body. If there is a life and death situation, you have to defend yourself and save your life.

On the other hand, when someone is just messing around and grab your hand, do you like to break his hand or hit to the groin?

Well, I don't think so. If there is no need to hurt someone pretty badly, you do not like to make any move that causes serious damage. You should use reasonable force when you deal with this kind of situation.

In some situations, you do not have to hurt someone, all you need to do is to give a signal that you are not an easy target. If you do a job and your responsibility is to protect someone, when you see someone making trouble, you have to stop him and move him out of there.

You can learn and practice grabbing and locking. In a situation where you have to move someone from a spot, you will find it very useful. If you are a security officer, you can learn this as a profession.

As soon as you understand the situation, you can make your move effectively to defend yourself. It is not just kicking, punching, and hitting. Use your observation skills and you will find the solution faster.

Thank you so much for reading this post. If you practice martial arts or are passionate about martial arts, please stay tuned. And please feel free to express your thoughts in the comment section.

Stay safe. Always be happy!
