Midfoot Running!

My running coach told me the results of my running style analysis a few days ago. Basically he is quite satisfied with the way I run.
But one thing he noticed: In order to take more care of my joints and eventually run faster and more effectively, I should get into the habit of running more with my midfoot on the ground. The video analysis showed that I tend to land on the ground with my heel and that is not optimal.
Today I ran 10 km and I concentrated on getting on the ground with my midfoot with every step. At first it was a bit uncomfortable, but it went quite well, although it seemed more exhausting than my previous running style.

Mein Laufcoach hat mir vor einigen Tagen sein Ergebnis meiner Laufstilanalyse mitgeteilt. Im Wesentlichen ist er ganz zufrieden, wie ich laufe.
Eines sei ihm aber aufgefallen: Um meine Gelenke mehr zu schonen und auch letztendlich schneller und effektiver zu laufen, sollte ich mir angewöhnen mehr mit dem Mittelfuß auf dem Boden aufzukommen. Die Videoanalyse zeigte, dass ich eher mit der Ferse auf dem Boden lande und das sei nicht optimal.
Heute bin ich 10 km gelaufen und ich konzentrierte mich darauf mit dem Mittelfuß bei jedem Schritt auf dem Boden aufzukommen. Zunächst war es etwas ungewohnt, aber es ging ganz gut, obwohl es mir anstrengender vorkam als mein bisheriger Laufstil.
