Run slow to get faster!

Tonight I had my third and last running session with my running coach. We ran 10 km together and he corrected a few things in my running style (taking bigger steps) and also gave me general tips for my running planning.

Overall, my coach is very satisfied with my progress. The next few months until next spring will definitely be characterized by the fact that I will run a lot and rather slowly to increase my aerobic capacity. Long and slow runs are the motto. Now and then intervals, climbs and pace runs.

To get faster, you have to run slow first! That's what I read and hear again and again from running pros!




Heute Abend hatte ich meine dritte und letzte Laufeinheit mit meinem Laufcoach. Wir sind 10 km gemeinsam gelaufen und er korrigierte noch ein paar Dinge an meinem Laufstil (größere Schritte machen) und gab mir auch allgemeine Tipps für meine Laufplanung.

Insgesamt ist mein Coach mit meinem Fortschritt sehr zufrieden. Die nächsten Monate bis zum kommenden Frühling werden auf jeden Fall dadurch geprägt sein, dass ich viel laufen werde und zwar eher langsam um meine aerobe Kapazität zu erhöhen. Lange und langsame Läufe sind das Motto. Hin und wieder Intervalle, Steigungen und Tempoläufe.
