Actifit App v0.6.7 Android is Out! & Actifit Weekly Staff Picks #58.
Another update, already? YES!
Actifit team is happy to present you with another update to Actifit android app.
The update targets several fixes and improvements to your user experience, as well as further security measures in place.
So without further ado, let's bring you the juicy stuff :)
New icons for successful/failed post notifications
We received suggestions from the community about the send post process, whereby it was easy for the error notification to go unnoticed, despite the clear text. We don't blame you, force of habit and speed in posting can lead to missing the text difference, especially with the recent node issues in preparation for HF23.
Hence, we took your suggestion into consideration, and we now have a new design for the posting notification when sending out a post:
New buttons for activity type selection
To help with this, we added the ok button to confirm the selection.
While at it, and to sweeten the deal, we also added the clear button to remove all your current selections and cancel the display.
Looks cool, eh ? at least we kinda think so :)
Abuse Prevention
We implemented new measures to enforce abuse prevention. This involved Fitbit users, whereby special identifier is being used to ensure same fitbit user is not posting via various hive/actifit accounts.
Additionally, we reinstated other general security measures for the app, including proper app signature detection.
Image Markdown Preview Fix
We also implemented a fix for an another pending issue, whereby when you revisited the send post screen with pre-saved content, the markdown preview would not render your content until you make a new edit.
This has also been resolved now with this new update.
Fix Toast & Multi-restart issues on non-compatible devices
For devices which were not compatible with actifit due to specific security concerns, we noticed that the toast notifications were not going through, and the app was restarting for several rounds.
This has also been fixed now, with proper error notification showing, and the app no longer restarting multiple times under those conditions.
Other various changes/fixes:
- Based on feedback by community, we renamed SP/SBD under settings to HP/SP - HBD/SBD.
- We fixed several crash issues reported by crashlytics framework.

Some tips for writing a good Actifit report.
Writing a nice and beautiful Actifit report is not a daunting task. Talking about your daily activity in a presentable manner can get you to the top list.
Try to make your report readable and understandable.
The arrangement of the images also makes the content look attractive. Goes without saying, target using original high-quality images that you own. Using images from other sources is not advisable unless properly attributed and care is taken not to abuse any copyrights.
Plagiarism is a big NO-NO. In case we find plagiarized content, your account risks getting banned. Please take a look at our Actifit Etiquette for further details.

Thanks for the pick and congratulations for all the others as well. I really enjoy to read some good, both funny and serious Actifit Reports here, with good photos. This is a good way to encourage always good content and not just copy-paste kind of reports.

However, yesterday I made a mistake, and while uploading the photos, by accident I pressed the "Sent Post" button instead of "Insert image" 😭 That was my mistake.
